  1. Thanks all of you for taking the time to respond to me. I appreciate all of your experienced insight!!! I'm in San Diego trying to get my stuff together. One of my mom's friends works for an elderly home health care company around here so I'm going to start with her (ask about CNA training) and then look at school options. I didn't realize that their were long waiting lists for some schools for accelerated programs...yikes. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!!!
  2. I'm new to these forums. I have a BA in Biology from Univ. of San Diego (grad. 2002). I knew that I wanted a career in the healthcare field but didn't know what. I'm working as a Physical Therapy Aide and Admin. Asst. right now. I thought I want to go to grad school for PT, but now I think I want to go into an accelerated/2nd degree BSN (possibly MSN) nursing program. I realized the demand for nurses. I'm looking to complete some prereq's (which is not easy with state education budget cuts) and then become a CNA and work until I apply for school. Do you know of any short CNA programs or have advice on places to work or places that give you training so you can work for them. Any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks, Sara.
