  1. rfblovee, I know what you mean about being skeptical. I'm starting to feel a little better about Rasmussen at least. My daughter is an RN and knows a girl that she works with who received her LPN from Webster (now Rasmussen). The girl, had no problem taking state boards and getting licensed. She's now working on her RN bridge program. PHCC told me that course work at any vocational school isn't really a factor when applying for the RN bridge program, you just need to licensed as an LPN. Did PHCC tell you you'd have to take the NET again to apply for the next class? Also, I was wondering if you know the NET score that it took at PHCC to gain entrance. I wish you luck getting into January and I'll bet you do. Like you, I'd rather go there but am starting too late in life to let this drag out. Debi
  2. Has ANYONE graduated + passed state boards (LPN or RN)from Rassmussen or Keiser?? I keep seeing info about people like myself who are concerned about the credentials of both of these schools since the BON continues to list them as "provisional" yet both have been around long enough to have earned Full Approval.
  3. Back to my original question. Do you know anyone who has graduated from Keiser or Rasmussen LPN programs? It would be nice to have the assurance that one can sit for state boards before laying out 20k.
  4. Where did you hear about this "grandfathered in" waiting list at PHCC? I was told they don't maintain a waiting list and just start a fresh list for each in coming group of applicants. Although, I'm strongly considering the vocational route, I may still try the NET test at PHCC and see how I do. I'm also gonna call their nursing dept and ask what the tests scores gained entry for the January 2009 class. Will let you know if I learn anything worth sharing. I stopped at Keiser last Fri and saw they are not ready for students yet. Administration folks are just moving in next week. I picked up a catalog and expect to hear from someone next week. To be continued.......
  5. Try HealthSouth also a short course computer class and he can try Coventry Health, Liberty Mutual or any number of insurance companies. Best of Luck.
  6. Anyone graduate (or know someone who did) from Rasmussen or Keiser's LPN Program in FL? Both are listed as having "Provisional" status on the State Board's website. The folks at the state boards won't confirm whether these school's classes will be eligible next year or not. They do recommend seeking a school with "Full Approval". That's fine but the only schools within an hour's drive, that I know I can get into, are Keiser and Rasmussen. PHCC had over 130 applicants for 36 students for their last class! Not great odds. I'm a little uncomfortable with Rasmussen as I've left 3 detailed messages for the program director. Left a message for Keiser in New Port Richey last Friday still no response regarding whether their students qualify to sit for State Boards after graduation. Any info is appreciated.
