  2. hi studentamie just wanted to say congrat, getting into CON. I am also applying to CON 2nd degree option too. i will graduate spring 2010 with my BS. 3. Hi neighbors, lol I have a few questions.......I am a student at University of New Mexico about to graduate with my Biological Anthropology degree in spring 2010!! Since New Mexico only has a few i am applying to many nursing programs around my home state. So i am applying to the University of Colorado-Denver nursing school. I just had a few questions for those that are fimilar with the area and school. 1. I am applying to the accelerated BSN program. Does anybody know how competitve it is getting into the program? 2. Anything good or bad about the university of colorado-denver? 3. What about denver its self? hows the city? is the area nice around school? 4. Is the school nice? 5. Those that have been through the BSN or ABSN program, can you tell me the good or bad things? I would appreciate any insight!!!! Thanks :wink2:
  4. Hey I am in the same boat as you. I am getting my BS in Biological Anthropology in the spring. Before I graduate I will be applying to many different accelerated BSN programs. What field of Anthropology are you studying? For me I applied once to the nursing school, and did not get in. So I decided to take Anthropology classes, now I am almost graduating. I decided to take Anthro. classes that would help me in nursing. So i took many classes related to forensics. So depending on the kind of Anthro degree you are working on it can really help! Hope this helps a little. :nuke:
  5. Hello Hi, I need some advice or thoughts. I am a student at a university and applied to a BSN program. I have applied once and did not get in. So I am going to apply again for the summer and fall sessions. So in the mean time I earning a second degree in biological anthropology with a minor in biology. All classes and pre reqs that i have taken for nursing does not count towards my 2nd degree even though they cover pretty much the same material. The classes that i am takin for my 2nd degree are heavily concentrated in the structure and formation of bones and body structure. In my minor in biology i was leaning more towards the study of bacteria, viruses, etc. So my question is do you think this is a good idea? Those that are nurses, does the info that i am learning now in anthropology and biology going to help me once i get into nursing school?
  6. I was thinking of doing that. thanks
  7. hey thanks.. i am still kinda upset, but i am sure i'll get over it. luckly enough they accept applications fall, spring, and summer. so i think i am going to apply for the summer.

  13. hey guys so i applied to a BSN nursing program at my university. i had high hopes of getting into the program for spring 2009. so a few days ago i recieved my rejection letter, and felt awful. The nursing program at my school is very competitive and only accpets 40 students. I feel kinda bad cause it seems that everybody that i know is being accepted into nursing school. I know i am only 21 but it seems that i will be the oldest one in the program so for people that have been rejected..how did it make you feel? what did you do in that extra time? also for those who have got in how long did it take to get accpeted? so now i am in a situation...i have finished all of my pre requirements. so what do i do while waiting to get in? should i retake some classes and raise my science gpa? what have you guys done?
