Hello all! Well, the first two weeks of school are done and all I can say is... WOW! YOU GUYS WEREN'T KIDDING! I have never been so busy in my life!!! Colleen, I know you mentioned during orientation that you have an excel spreadsheet that you use to organize yourself. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to send that my way? Dawn, I attempted AA and did the practice questions and read A1. I didn't "formally" do any answers to anything, I basically just read the material. From what I recall, they wanted us to begin/complete AA and prepare A1 along with A1's class guide 1 and 2... I also know what you mean about being overwhelmed. Thanks everyone... especially about the tip on using nude underwear! So, I'm getting all of my stuff together for tomorrow... Should I bring everything or just the Potter/Perry hardcover and lab book (my lab is tomorrow too!). My list of stuff to bring is: AA & A1 module (with class guide 1 & 2) The Potter/Perry textbook and lab guide My student handbook Paper, pens, pencils etc... I hope that is all I'll need. I haven't gotten a chance to buy my rolling backpack yet. Thanks again for all of your help! Lisa:yeah:

Hey! I just got my smock from tri-county uniforms and they sewed the patch on the front of the uniform... I thought it was supposed to be on the sleeve??? Has the location of the patch changed? I tried calling the nursing office and left a message. Thanks everyone! Lisa

Dawn, yes I am in section 3. I unfortunately didn't catch everybody who was in our section either. It was hard to hear everyone! Plus I was so overwhelmed with all of the information that was swirling in my head!!!

Colleen, thanks for looking into the stethoscope for me. And thanks for sharing your story about the babies you saw brought into this world. After reading that, I became really excited about my decision to be a nurse! I can only imagine how amazing it is to witness something like that. I can't wait!!! You guys are awesome!!! Lisa

Thank you so much for the advice. It's nice to see that you all provide a wonderful support system for eachother! Ok, I've been researching the stethoscopes and am leaning towards the Littmann Master Classic II. I know that you guys were saying that we'll need a pediatrics head for the 2nd semester. I don't think the Master Classic II has an interchangeable head like the Ultrascopes do. Do any of you know if I'd have to buy a 2nd stethoscope for the 2nd semester or could I use the Master Classic II for peds? :redpinkhe Thanks! Lisa

Haha, I've heard that a lot. I have my associates degree in science and if anybody has any questions about science, they think I have all the answers! I can't imagine what people will be like when I start nursing school!!! I suppose I'll have to charge them for my advice ! ;-)

Thanks so much for the info. It was really helpful! I know, Dawn, I feel like I have a ton of things to do and not enough time. I just started my titres and shots at the health center yesterday. Thankfully I'll be done with that by next Tuesday before they close for winter break! Plus next Thursday I have the CPR class, plus finals the week after! Thanks again y'all! Lisa

Hey everyone, I know that somewhere within this thread it tells you where you can buy the "CLC scrub." I want to say tri-valley-something but I can't remember and can't find it. (It would take me days to read through all of the threads again ;-) Also, what kind of stethoscope would you recommend? I hear master cardiology is the best. I found one that I liked and it was double sided. Do we need one like that? Does it matter??? Thanks again! Lisa
