  3. Hi - I was curious if anyone who worked in a hospital staff professional development role could share their salary range, please? I have done some research - but have found a very wide range. Thanks!
  4. I am sorry Zncollette - no advice, just sympathy. I am preparing to take my boards in a few days. Ug.

    Congratulations!!!
  6. Congrats!! Thanks for the study tips!
  7. You can do it! I found out I was expecting my second (our oldest was 1.5 at the time) a few weeks before starting my APNP program and I was also working full time. I ended up taking a final the day I came home from the hospital after delivering and another final a couple of days later. I ended up not returning to work after maternity leave and continuing school full time. I have since found out I am pregnant with our third :) and will start my last semester on Monday. My due date is 2 weeks after my graduation date. Two years of grad school, two new babies. :) I will tell you I wouldn't have been able to do it without an excellent support system. For what it's worth, I think it's easier to do school the younger the child is...especially if there is only one. Congrats, btw!!!!!
  8. Thanks for the replies (and tips)! I can get up to date access through my school right now - I am thinking it will be worth the money in the future.
  9. Hi - I am looking for app suggestions for adult/gero NP use. Of course it doesn't have to be NP specific; I was just wondering if anyone has found any super helpful drug/reference/procedure apps? Thanks!
  10. Hi Nursetobe2! I am not sure if the z-coils will work or not. When I started clinicals in '07, the dress code was pretty strict on shoes - white shoes with absolutely no coloring (to the extent that we had to use white-out on any colored part of the shoe). Alot of people wore tennis shoes or nursing-specific shoes. Even if the Z-Coil's are all white, I am not sure if they would be approved since the heel/coil mechanism stands out. You could call the nursing student office and ask about them. Good luck!
  11. Hi! I am a new nurse in a new position - Occ Health. What kind of standing orders do you have at your company? Thanks!
