  1. Since I am in my 3o's and have to start all over again here is my game plan for nursing. 1. Get my AAS first find a job and make a decent living. 2. Then get BSN and take advantage of a tutuion reimbursement program. 3. Not sure which speciality yet. 4. Somewhere in between I will have a family. 5. Once I have the time somewhere in there I would want to be a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Why didn't I do this 15 years ago at 18 instead of listening to stupid people and there bad advice who only wanted me to fail.
  2. i wonder if this technique will work on the teas test
  3. since you are working full-time take a least 6 credit hours so you can get some type of financial aid
  4. :(i'm trying to figure At this point in my life is it better to get and associates or a bachelors in nursing? this is getting hard and tricky.

:lol2:I am in my 30's. I am excited about going back to school to obtain a BSN after working in customer service for years which I hate, eventhough I am good at it. Tired of the uneducated unprofessionalism of co-workers she said she said bs, directors cussing at you. I am not in pre-school or prison. I am a professional and demand to be treated as such. I am educated and wanted be around educated, professional/semi-professional since we are not all perfect and have ours ways sometimes but not everyday. I always wanted to do nursing in high school but never had the confidence and encouragement. I let others and so-called friends get in my head and tell that's not what you need to do. I already have an AA in a different area. My main concern is the grade point average it's not a 3.0 (since i did poor when obtaining my AA) so I have to do a lot of hard work. I'm nervous about the science classes. I will be going part-time since I work full-time. Right now I am trying to obtain a volunteer position and a job at the local hospital. I live within a 5-10 min drive my dream job and school. So I want to become a nusrse, nothing is easy and I have to go it my career. On the plus side I can still save money and take classes at the local cc, since the school I will be applying to only takes the credits they need and calculate them in the science and overall gpa's they also have spring admission now which means I can attend part-time hopefully. I am thankful to my future husband without him I would have never gone back to school. Nothings stopping me and my insipration for doing this are: working mothers, seeing people in there 50's doing this, and if I do ever decide to have kids I want a stable career and to be able to support them and spend time with them (flexible schedule I can make). Lastly of course financial stability. My main goal is just to have the BSN first, not sure the speciality yet or it I want a Master's that's an option. I'm just amazed of all the possibilities that they have in nursing WOW! Learning Spanish from my boyfriend is helping me greatly also. Him and Rosetta Stone are better than any Spanish classes I took in high school and college native is best. Talking to a career counseler and taking a career class first helped me greatly in pursuing my goal. Best advice talk to professionals in the field and recuriters for various schools. To all the others out there May God Bless You
