  1. yes...i started at merit in feb...2009....expected grad date mar 2010.....merit school is okay....but very unorganized between staff and students....you must study very hard and stay out of trouble cause there is alot going on with the students.....it will work for you only if you are serious about nursing..... the professor will give you a syallbus for each class....you should get a handbook at orientation...
  2. yes, the practice entrance exam is the same as the acutally test....if you did the practice test with no problems than you should be fine...now if you been out of school for a while than you may need to practice. the test is timed so you must finish in that time period.....Good Luck...Im sure you will do fine..
  3. Im currently a Merit Student, I started in February 2009....Yes the school is money hungry and you must pay as you go along...however when you applied if you pass the entrance exam you get right into the program. All the local county nursing program has long waiting list. Merit has a good pass rate for the state board...and they are listed on the board of Nursing for New Jersey.....If I had a choose I would prefer to go to a local county school, but I can't wait 18months to start a program. If you stay focus and really want to make it work, you can with merit....all nursing programs are hard....
  4. So are you in school now at Universal Training, or did you graduate? So know one took the state board at that school...why? Universal Training is closer to where I live, but I just took the entrance test at Merit last week. The test was very easy because it only had 60 questions and you can take there practice test online. I really want to find a school in NJ with no waiting list and start this Jan 09 and pass my boards.
  5. Does anyone know how there school rate? Merit Technical pass rate for last year has been over 80%, but what about Universal Training school in Perth Amboy......any information on there school would be great
