  1. I'm a new nursing student and dream of working in the OR. Are there OR jobs for newbie RN's? If not, where do you suggest working (ED, ICU, med-surg) and for how long before moving to the OR? --My_AZ
  2. I would have started a new thread but couldn't see how to do it. I'm a mature adult with a bachelors in Marketing and masters in Education but I'd like to become an RN. I live in Sun City West (near Phoenix) and am trying to decide between applying to the Maricopa Community Colleges or to Apollo or Pima. Time is crucial at my age so I'd like to get started asap. I have all the prereqs except the Anatomy/Physiology. Any suggestions on which schools to apply to (and why) would be greatly appreciated. I would consider driving to the East Valley or getting a job at a hospital (though I'm not sure what I'd qualify for) if that would help. Thanks so much for any advice. My_AZ
