  1. Congratulations to everyone receiving their results. I took my test July 10 @ 8am and got my results in the mail July 31 (within 3 weeks)!! I PASSED! :w00t: Oh..and PVT proves to be true once again :-)
  2. Good luck...keep us updated :)
  3. I heard that ACT was no longer going to be a VN requirement as well. It is being replaced with Nurvn401. That's cool...Good luck :heartbeat
  4. :wlcmggrp: scrubs'09 and congratulations on your acceptance!! :yelclap:
  5. Hi Shord, I think you should do it. Like you said, you've put it off since you were 19. Do it while you're still young and motivated:heartbeat. I cried when I had to quit my high paying job to go back to school lol. I've realized that the only people that truly understand the decisions and sacrifices we have to make are other nursing students. It's not easy but it's worth it. And working as a CNA is a great choice to gain experience and get into the field. It's great that you have your husband there to support you and help financially...with that said, I say go for it Girl! Good luck, and before you know it you'll be a nurse in somebody's hospital making good $$.
  6. :balloons:CONGRATULATIONS to everyone:balloons:. After stalking the mail man for two long months, I finally got my acceptance letter as well ... I am so excited..I am sure my mail man is too lol. I start JAN 09 Good Luck Everybody!:flwrhrts:
  7. Sounds like a heck of an emotional roller coaster ... :balloons:Congrats and good luck!!:balloons:
  8. Yeah, call her or just go to the meeting on Dec 2nd. I took my CNA course at Chaffey too and just applied to the LVN program. The ACT and LVN meetings are combined, so you'll get info about the LVN corse when you go as well.
  9. Hello again. I'm pretty sure it's still being offered. Maybe the person that told you the ACT is incorporated into the VN program:icon_roll, meant that the ACT is a requirement to get into the VN program. I just attended an info meeting for ACT/LVN in September:mad:. Before getting into any of the health science programs you have to attend an information meeting which lasts only about an hour. There is an info meeting coming up on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd. at the Chino Campus. Anyone can attend. Here is the Chaffey Health Sciences Information Hotline number that will tell you all about it (909)652-7799. You can also contact Mrs.Sanders for more info..she's really nice and has all the information on CNA, ACT, and LVN programs at Chaffey (909)652-7763. It's a good program with Clinicals at Kaiser and Chino Hospitals. Keep me updated!!:heartbeat
  10. Hi Enfermera. Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca has an Acute Care Technician Course. I took it in March...the classes are held at the Chino campus. Good Luck:heartbeat

  14. hello,...quick update... thanks to everyone for your advice and sugestions on how to land a c.n.a. job. it seemed that i had done just about everything to find a job and nothing was working. five months ago i was turned down by a convalescent hospital near my home for not having experience. recently i started running out of places to apply so i decided to go back to that convalescent hospital near my house, and 'whadya know'... i was interviewed on the spot. well, i still don't have any experience but they called back this time and offered me a position... can you believe it?!? i was ecstatic when i got off of the phone. my persistance and help from you all paid off. it has been a while since my training and i hope i do okay. can't wait to start my journey. woohoo! thanks again everyone!:flowersfo sincerely, the 'soon to be experienced' c.n.a.
  15. :tku: so much Prenursingc3po, CandAmommy and Codeda . Your replies were all motivating.:heartbeat Yes, I have tried agencies...I applied anyway even though they require a year experience. And i am not picky on scedules..which I thought would help me to get in somewhere. And yes, I have looked for sitter jobs, I haven't come across any around here...but i'll keep chuggin! Maybe it's the area I live in:down:...who knows! Whatever it is, I'm gonna take the advice from you all and stay persistant. I'll definitely keep you all updated. :flwrhrts:Thanks again..God bless:flwrhrts:
