  1. Thank you everyone, for your words of encouragement and support. I was actually considering entering the Physician's Assistant program, but I need an undergrad degree to apply. I figured that nursing would be a great undergrad to have, as it's a versatile degree and a fall back if I don't get into PA school. But the kink in my plan is that I haven't gotten into nursing school yet . Also, this school is one of 3 options for the BSN in my area. One I would have to move for ($$$$) and the other I can't afford (private school). I've gotten my emotions under control and am no longer too lethargic . I have to submit my next application for Fall 09' before Feb 1, 2009. So, I plan to get a job as a Pharm tech. or Phlebotomist and work full time for a semester. Hopefuly I get in... 3rd times the charm right?
  2. I've applied to nursing school for two concurrent semesters now. The first time, I didn't even get an interview. The second time, I was invited to an interview and felt that I did well. However, I also failed to get in this semester. I'm attempting to be admitted into a 2 year BSN program. I have a 3.5 GPA, and I scored well on the TEAS. However, I have no job experience in the medical field. My college offers an Early Admission program, however, my counselor failed to mention this to me during my freshmen year. This program gurantees admission into the nursing program as long as a student commits to it their freshmen year and maintains a 3.0. They automatically get one of the 30 slots put aside for the Early Admission program. Note, this is 30 out of 60 total nursing school slots. I'm at a loss for words after seeing the same exact letter saying that I didn't get in. You would think that they might possibly tell you why you're not good enough for them if you made it to the interview. I'm sorry, maybe I'm just venting, but I'm just extremely discouraged in my academic career now. It seems like I try so hard for nothing.
