  1. As a DON yeast infections among the larger ladies and men, I have seen many residents with yeast in the skin folds. Never use cornstarch as the sugars in the cornstarch are a feast for yeast. It is better to go with a talc powder that is medicated. Keeping the areas dry is so very important. We usually called the wound care center if it looked as though it was getting out of hand. I just had my first synvisc injection this morning. It was quite painless, hurt less than the cortisone injections I have been getting. My knees have been a problem for years forcing me to retire from nursing before I wanted to. I had a right knee replacement in june, and now I have formed scar tissue and need to have a manipulation. I am hoping these injections will prevent my having another replacement any time soon. I have a couple of friends you have had great success with synvisc. Praying I will have the same success.
