PHCC Fall 2014 hopefuls!
My insurance wont cover a school physical. So, after calling EVERYWHERE today. I made a appt at the health dept. They are so much cheaper than all the walk ins I called. I get my titers drawn on Monday, and have my physical done on Wed. It is costing me 124.00 for everything. They said it will only take 2-3 days for my titer results to come back. This is so overwhelming!!

Kee, Listen, dont be discouraged b/c I applied to the jan. 09 lpn program and I to received a letter that I was put on the alternate list and a month later I got the call that they had a opening. I was the first on the list I was told. Most of my class was on the alternate list also. So you have a great chance at getting in!!! good luck!!! and keep us posted

Hi Debi, Thankyou, I really hope to get in to:bowingpur. I was devistated when i found out i was on the alternate list. I will have to apply next Jan though b/c i cant do nights in aug:( The net test score is good for 2 yrs. They are looking for a composite score of at least a 60 to be considered for the program. But they only take the top 36 scores. So the higher you get the better chance you have. I received a total composite score of 81(80 in math and 82 in reading) and that got me on the alternate list. So honestly if you score in the mid 80's to 90's you are safe. The net isnt all that bad either. They have a net study guide @ the phcc bookstore and it is based on what is on the test. It is a really good study guide I think it is $23 but well worth it. Oh plus in august brooksville is taking 36 students for the day course and npr takes 36 for the nights, so i think that there is a better chance for people in aug b/c in jan only npr is offering a class. Anyway Debi get the study guide and take the net whats the worst that can happen? if you have any ques or need any help just ask me. You are never to old, better to start late than never:D

Hi, i also live in n.p.r and i applied to the phcc lpn class of Jan. 09 and was selected as an alternate. Anyway, I was thinking about ramussen college and I called higher level vocational on Fri still waiting for a call back. These schools just seem skeptical to me. If i dont get contacted by phcc to fill a seat i will just apply to phcc again. Its ALOT cheaper and you are guaranted a good education and your classes do mean something if you ever want to go on. Plus you dont ever have to worry about the school changing their name and vanishing and taking your 20 grand down the drain w/ them. Sorry if i am rambling i am tired. I hope i helped and if anyone has any questions to ask me shoot away! :zzzzz:specs:
