Thanks for the replies as it gives me more guidance on how to look at the next several years. Question for David, do you know how much impact the ER/Trauma residency programs have on how much a PA is allowed to do regarding procedures? Thanks again!

Greetings all, Forgive me in advance for this question as I have not found my answer yet despite a plethora of trolling. Basically, I'd like to be in a position to do two things: 1) practice in an ER where I can perform surgical procedures and 2) also have a practice involved in community health/primary care. Would the NP or PA route be better or am I too broad in my intention for future practice? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Already tried that tact and am now waiting for a response. Thus far, no response so I resorted to posting on the thread. However, I must say that one would think if you are at the school there would be a definitive answer available.

Hey all, I saw where one of the posters stated she was attending Barnes and would have classes on the evening and clinicals on the weekend. I briefly stopped in at the school the other day and was told by a receptionist that there are no evening or weekend classes/clinicals available. Would someone please clarify the eve/weekend issue? Greetings all, This is a first time post so please forgive if this has been addressed. Due to a confluence of factors and influences, I've decided to change careers with the goal of eventually becoming a nurse practitioner. Since I already have a bachelors and a grad degree, is it necessary to obtain a BSN prior to working as a nurse and then applying for masters programs? Or would getting the educational and practical training through an ADN program and working as an RN w/out the BSN suffice? Thanks in advance:bow:
