    Each semester of school we gave gifts to our clinical instructor. Is it customary to do this for your preceptor as well? I know a lot of people dont have the same one for the whole time but I did and she was absolutely awesome. She made me feel so welcome and so confident. I hear all these horrible stories from people on the boards and from my classmates and I feel so blessed to have oriented with her. Even if its not the custom I would like to get her something and write her a nice card. Is this even allowed? And if it is does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for replies... lindsey
