  1. I would say Ambulatory surgery/cardiac cath lab/urgent care. Good luck!
  2. If you really want to be out of the facility regardless of what they are willing to do for you, I agree with the post about discussing this in person with your boss. Not calling or showing up is the easiest way to burn your bridges (even if you don't intend to ever work there again). Meet your boss and tell him/her the real reason you want to leave. If you don't mind staying if they extend your orientation, you should tell that to your boss too. It's totally ok and professional to ask for a longer orientation if you don't feel ready. Good luck!!
  3. I absolutely believe the extra time I took (3 months) for a little R&R before intense studying was worth it! I passed the NCLEX at first try. Don't rush yourself. It's much better to study a little longer and pass the test the first time. Good luck!
  4. I recently returned to nursing school and feeling very isolated in school. I'm slightly older by 2-3 years and the only student that is of a different race than the rest of the calss. Most students seem to know each other from their work. Of the students that don't work together, they are all of the same race. I tried to reach out to a couple people but got some really cold / rejecting comments. Has anyone been in similar situations? When I'm the only one that looks different in class, I couldn't help but to feel that I stand out like an eyesore!
