  1. I'm a May 08 grad and wasn't working for awhile as well (well.. still not but got my first job offer today!) I didn't think I would EVER find a job, but I decided to pick up and move to a more thriving location, and then apply everywhere and try to be as flexible as possible. I also was very big on follow up calls to whichever hospitals had phone numbers to nurse recruiters (for some hospitals they just don't want to be contacted ) And THEEEEEEN I finally started getting interviews. Now I finally got my first job offer today, and tomorrow I have yet another interview and things are finally starting to look up. I think the key is just flexibility and persistence! And also keeping a positive attitude because that shines through and people can see if you have a negative and defeated attitude! Good luck!
  2. I took the jurisprudence exam and just winged it. I didn't study for it at all. When you take it you can have the other windows open at the same time, so you can look through the documents to find the answers. Some of the questions were a bit tricky, but for the most part it was pretty straight forward. It took me like an hour and a half only because looking through all the documents they provide you take forever because they're SO many pages, but it was definitely easy and something you can just wing.
  3. how long after you submit a resume/application does it usually take to get a call for an interview? I've applied to sooo many hospitals and have yet to get a call back. And when I call them to check on my application, it's usually an automated message that says that they can't check on applications due to all the applicants. I'm going absolutely CrAzY!!!
