  1. well,im planning on working temporarily in NZ while waiting for my US application. They say it takes years for processing,so im gonna work in Nz for a while
  2. hi.. im wondering.. im hoping that when i get to work there in new zealand and finally things get settled for me already, i could get my grandparents to live with me there as well. they both currently reside in orange county, california. ive read other threads here and i reckon NZ has the perfect atmosphere for my grandparents to settle in - stress-free life for them. they are old people and they need to have constant check-ups.. would i be able to get them medical insurance?? could there be any other matters i need to consider first? i really want us to settle there in the near future. by the way, my lola is a greencard holder already. anyone pls give me info on this. thnx! :zzzzz
  3. Is it really that bad?Ive been wanting to work there because of its name as a beautiful country.Where would I start to work?
  4. Help pls.Im a filipino nurse still processing for my application as a nurse to new zealand. Im searching the net for the best place to start working, that will suit my taste(a work place in a city or near a city that does not have that too much high cost of living, so i can send enough money to my family in the Philippines, I want it being close to nature also.I love the city life, i dont want it be too much laidback). So,any suggestions to what place in new zealand im referring to? is a auckland a nice place?

  6. yup, thanks.yes, there is a big demand in nurses in new zealand. I love the country because its very clean and peaceful. The people are said to be friendly too.
  7. Hi,im a pinoy nurse, nclex passer and ielts.i have about 1 year experience now. Can someone put down a list of steps how to apply for new zealand as a nurse?I have some info already, because I applied in Reliable placement agency, but I searched the net for comments and testimonials and there all NEGATIVE about the said agency. They say it's better to process it on solo, but its confusing where to start and what to do next.can anybody help me?
  8. Hi, does your IELTS still expires in 2 years even though your agency is in the processing stage of employing you to a hospital in the US and working up your visa??
  9. ok,thanks. I read the threads. I think it's getting more clear now. If i move/apply my NCLEX to a state like Vermont, I will get the license right? Then I won't worry about my taking and passing the NCLEX exam to come to waste? I'm a bit confused of where to start in my quest for NZ. I think I overloaded myself on the infos in the net.hehe. Their arguing if they will work with an immigration agency/employment agency or not. I visited nznursecouncil, and i was lost on where to begin the registration or whatever.hehe Bottomline is, i dont know where to start
  10. Thanks for the info. Im a California NCLEX passer.and being a filipino, i dont have a SSN that they require for me to be able to have a license. Tell me if i analyzed it right-So, if I only have a an nclex notification letter of passing(which I received to inform me that I passed), will it then expire and ruin my chance of getting a US RN official license???? Pls help
  11. Your suggestions would be a big help to me.
  12. Hi,im a staff nurse in the Philippines, assigned at the medical surgical ward. I took my nclex last June 10 and passed. I took my IELTS last Spet. 27 and passed. The US is getting more gloomy every day. Im thinking of working in NZ for 2 years,at least while I'm waiting for the processing, Us retrogression, and any related stuff. Won't my nclex expire after a few years? Is it even a good idea if i work in new zealand? Thanks
  13. i have relatives in california.. inflation, economic and financial crisis,, theyr all so true.. theres no telling when the black cloud's gna lift... thank you all..
  14. I have a plan and I really need some comments on this. When I will pass the IELTS,i'll apply for a visa screen, then apply for an immigrant visa (so to take the long but sure way).I am aiming on applying for a job in California. I am already an NCLEX passer. They say that due to retrogression, one would wait up to 5 years just to wait in line for immigrant visa application. While waiting for the approval of the visa, "is it ok or possible for me to apply and work in New zealand for 2 years or so?I think it might be a good experience for me. And I will be able to help my family in our financial needs." What do you think?
  15. wow.is it really possible to be hired when your on tourist visa?what about the other replies that I got. They say even if you get hired by a hospital, you would still wait for the retrogression to lift up. is it true that im still gonna wait 3-5 years? I have a plan and I rally need some comments on this. When I will pass the IELTS,i'll apply for a visa screen, then apply for an immigrant visa (so to take the long but sure way).
