Nurse with mental illness
Hello All, I have got admission into the BSN program and school is about to start. I am paying lot of money as out of state student. But, the thing making me nervous is my mental condition. I got the problem last summer. After treatment, I am perfectly normal. I still have to take pills everyday. Doctor said that it was more like schizophrenia. My doctor knows that I am going for Nursing and he doesn't have any problem. I am still thinking that after spending lot of money and efforts, what happens if they does not give me work. Or does not even let me become registered nurse. Any thoughts will be appreciated,

Nursing at Towson University
Thanks again for the feedback. Yeah, you are right. I am not able to find much information about this kind of program also. If I get the admission in TU, I am gonna talk to HR and see what they says. I do not have any previous experience in the nursing. So, I am also little bit scared that how I am gonna manage the whole thing even if I got admitted. Do you think It is going to be a struggle for me to go through this program. I know it sounds crazy that I have already started thinking about all these things without even getting admission confirmation. But, I couldn't help.

Nursing at Towson University
Thanks for the reply. I am sorry I was not that clear in my description earler. I mean if you commit to work with them for few years after graduation. It is just like a scholarship program where they pay for the tuition and you work with them when you are ready. I guess you have to work for them during summer and semester break also. I hope they don't make students work during semester.

Nursing at Towson University
Hello Everyone, I have applied for BSN at Towson for Spring '09. I have 4.0 GPA in Science Subjects. So, getting in the program should not be a problem. But, who knows!!! Anyways, I have different kind of problem though and see if anyone can give me some guidelines. I am going to be Out of state student as my husband works in Pennsylvania. So, its going to be an expensive program for me. I was looking online and found that hospitals like GBMC and St. Joseph helps in tuition if you commit to work with them. Does anyone have done this kind of thing before with them? How does it works out usually? I am very new to this website. But, this looks wonderful. I am getting so much other information from here. Thanks everyone for sharing such informartion,
