thanks very very much for help i really appre ciate that i write alot of point's like psychological problems after mastectomy *thy concerned not only their own loss, but with how their partners will accept it. *how have you felt about losing part of your breast? *how it's changed your body image? *your sense of your sexuality? *your desire for intimacy? *the problems they can have :grief, fear , anger, depression, altered body image, difficult with intimacy. *protect emotional well being: - alter perceptions of the illness - foster active participation in the health care - identify ways to reduce anxiety * develop a framework of expectation: - describe the treatment process - support the a positive self image - discuss potential emotional sequelae - help to accept altered roles *manage stress: - identify feelings of vulnerability - provide information on adjuvant therapies and potential side effects - encourage communication of needs *redefine self and partner: - normalize activities of daily living - reprioritize values, needs, and expectation - incorporate health promoting behaviors offer support, refer to counseling/support groups, let her know about reconstruction possibilities if that is the route she desires thak you very much best regards

hi who are you ? hope you are fine i have question if the pt have mastoctomy especially if the pt women she will develope some sychological problems so, what's the sychological problems that may develope ?? and how we can help her ?? as we a nurse ??? and thanks for help i hve some points but i want others :)

i dont do any thinf from what are you donig because in my country i cant go out for walk or run i cant go whit my friends every where we want their are a strong rules every thing i do inside my home My stress reliefs: 1. coffee 2. sleeping for long period 3. watch ER, grays anatomy, strong medicine, and DR house 4. i dont remmber hahahah see you

Exercise *The pt encouraged to make the lifestyle changes necessitated by the onset of a chronic disease including: - pain management - modifications in diet - activity - hygiene ( skin care) *Tell pt to not cross his legs and avoid severe hip or knee flexion..... why??!! - It might impair her circulation - compromise the patency of the graft *Teach your patient how to promote circulation: - add a foot­board to the bed - use a sheepskin under his legs - place him on an air, pressure, or other special mattress. *Help him devise a progressive exercise program to: - develop collateral circulation - enhance venous return *Instruct him to stop exercising if he feels pain. *Advise the patient to change positions frequently and doesn't sit in one position for a long period : - To prevent pressure on her legs and feet - avoid blood pooling in the feet. *Teach him how to promote perfusion by: - keeping his legs and feet warm - avoiding vasoconstrictive substances, such as caffeine and nicotine. Tell pt that not to wearing tight, restrictive clothing on the legs - because its hinder blood flow. * Elevate the affected leg - to reduce edema *Instruct the pt to avoid keeping the affected leg in a dependent position for a prolonged period. *The patient's activity may be restricted - make sure the pt wears appropriate foot­wear, even for short distances. - Shoes or slippers that don't fit properly can cause further injury and lengthen her hospital stay. 4. Drugs *If the physician has prescribed an anticoagulant, review its therapeutic effect, dosage, and adverse effects with your patient. *Tell him that he'll have to undergo frequent blood tests that monitor the drug's effectiveness. 5. Smoking cessation *The nurse assists the pt in developing and implementing a plan to stop using tobacco Etc *The nurse ensure that the pt has the knowledge and ability to assess for any postoperative complication such as: - infection - occlusion of the artery or graft - decreased blood flow *If the patient has had surgery for peripheral vascular disease, instruct him to check his: - leg for color, temperature, sensation and movement. - Observe the incision site for redness, swelling, and drainage. *** am waiting for you i need this see you
