I took the NCLEX-PN back in 2004. My test cut off at 85 questions and I PASSED! They say since it is an adaptive test, when it cuts off at 85 you either did REALLY good or Extremely bad. Chances are that you actually passed, because it would keep testing you with additional questions, if you were answering wrong. Also, I have several other friends that took the NCLEX-PN and their tests also cut off at 85 and they all passed. My instructor told me that if you can remember the last question you took on the test before it cut off, and you are pretty sure you knew the answer to it, no matter what number you are on, you probably passed.(he has written some questions for NCLEX) Anyway I hope this helps! Good luck! post and let us know the results. BTW I am currently in an LVN-RN program and graduate in December, so I will be in your shoes again with having to take the NCLEX and I will probably be on this board, freaking out, before and AFTER the test! Best Wishes!
