  1. Omg! Stop it you are scarying me! I have to take HESI in April 2009. I am so frightened. My friend that just graduated RN school it took her 3 times before she passed it. Just keep praying is all I can tell you and study hard. You are getting there. You made a 850 already! You can do it!
  2. omg! i am almost done with lvn school. i only have 2 more classes left pediatrics and med surg iii. i am now in med surg ii, and i am having that same problem retaining the information. i don't want to flunk out. i made a bad grade on the 1st test and my 2nd test is next month, so i know how you feel. we only have 5 test so i have to get on the ball! i did get thru ap and fundamentals thow. to me its all on your teacher. it depends on how they teach. what i did was highlite only the strong points in the book. i made notes in the book also and not on notecards cause i am just not good at keeping up with them. then sometimes i had to read the material 3 times! many times my teacher would go over the material over and over and i would listen to every word and to my surprise when i get the test its on there just as the teacher talked about it. so the key factor too is to not to miss class if you can help it! for ap, our instructor gave is diagrams too. you can buy those at barnes and nobles or make your own drawings to help you. like they said....you are not going to remember the whole book. i did the same in high school as you did not always had to study, but nursing school is totally different! you have to study!! or you will not survive. you can also join study groups where yall ask each other questions that you think may be on the test. and some of my instructors actually give us study guides or you can make your own! i am actually doing very well in obstetrics class with a b almost an a! my challenge is going to be this med surg ii. but you also have to be confident in yourself and say that you can do it! i know i will pass. it will be a challenge, but i can do it and so can you! and one important factor to do thru nursing school......pray!!
