  1. I am an American nurse, and I am considering a move to Hong Kong in January 2011. At that time I will have a MSN degree in nursing and would be seeking a position as a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse. I have reviewed information on the internet about nursing in Hong Kong, but have only found info on RN licensing and jobs. Does anybody know if there will be ANY opportunities for a nurse with an advanced degree?? Can anybody point me in the right direction? Even the HK Nursing Council does not have info online about advanced practice nursing. I would also be interested in teaching. I am grateful for any info anyone can provide.
  2. Hi, I'm in an accelerated BSN/NP program as a FNP student, but the program also offers a masters degree in midwifery, which i am currently considering. however, i would like to check out salaries and have found that different online sources vary widely in their reports of what CNMs make. also, i'd need to know how easy or difficult it would be to get a job where i'm living now (NYC) and in the places i'd like to be soon (New Orleans or the general south). i'm also curious about how much insurance will set me back, if it would be more than what an NP would pay, etc. is there any reliable place where i can find this sort of info? thanks!
