  1. Hey guys, I wanted to know if there are programs/courses that I can register for to get wound certified? I'm located in the San Fernando valley area in CA, so if anyone knows of anything please let me know. Thank you
  2. Just got word from my rep that they mailed out my results... Anxiety level is increasing and i just hope to see good results when I open that envelope. ahhh!!
  3. Hey guys...im here in CA and i took my test back in May. I am still waiting for results and its taking a little longer due to the fact that its going through enforcement. I got 205 questions and I am anxiously waiting to get my results. Its KILLING ME ! I really hope that I passed... Would love to hear your guys input. Thank you
  4. Im just wondering what is a better route? Should I get my Pre requisites done first and just go for my associates or do the LVN program first then go for the RN? I want to know this for info. If i take the LVN program (a year), would i still have to get my pre requisites done to apply for an RN program? Because if so, then id rather just save the year of going for the LVN and just do my pre reqs for the RN. Or can I do the LVN.... then go to a bridge program for the RN. Whats a smarter move?
  5. For someone that has NO pre requisites and is looking to become an RN. Can I do the LVN program, and then do the LVN to RN Bridge? LVN program is a year and the LVN to RN bridge is 18 months Which totals up to about 2.5 years give or take. What do you guys think?
  6. Hello, I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I sincerely need your guys advice. I'm 25 years old living in CA, and I have a goal set to achieving my RN license. I don't have any prerequisites and I want to know what is the FASTEST way to become an RN? WEST COAST UNIVERSITY has a 3 year RN BSN program which is great, but the only thing is that it is EXTREMELY expensive, I believe 116k in loans! Im sure there are other cheaper options. Can you guys please help me see my choices on which route would be the quickest and smartest time wise and money wise? Thank you.
  7. I want to get my RN license ASAP and was thinking of getting into the LPN to RN bridge program, I currently dont have my pre requisites. Is that a fast way of getting an RN license Or is there another fast way to do it? I think the 2 year RN associate program seems like the fastest way. All thoughts are welcomed please. Thank you.
  8. Does anyone know what the length of time is for this program? Thank you.
  9. What is the length of time on this program?
  10. Thanks alot for your input, this board needs more members like yourself. Im in California btw.
  11. Ive been told to take the LVN program first which is a 12 month course. After doing that and having all my pre req's, what do i need to do in order to go take the RN exam?
  12. I apologize for not making the question clear, as I am very new to nursing and the medical field. So I have to go to a separate RN program before taking the exam?
  13. What are my options if I have all my pre requisites for the RN ? Can I go and take the board exam?
  14. What about if I have all my pre requisites for the RN? What are my options then?
  15. My goal is to become an RN, but since i come from a family of nurses, I've been told to first do my LVN and then to go for my RN just to get some experience. Lets say if I have all my pre requisites classes for my RN after completion of my LVN, would I be eligible to go and take the Board exam for RN?
  16. Wow that is alot of great input guys. Lets get some more!
  17. well ive worked for a broker my the whole time i was in RE. When RE was booming it was great, but now since the economy is doing so bad, no one really wants to talk to any type of RE person. Majority of people are looking to purchase homes now, and with that said, that bad side of it is that the banks are so strict with all their guidelines that its very tough to get an approval. They have to have reserves, great fico, a very low Debt to income ratio etc... I just see nursing as guaranteed money, whether economy is doing great or not, as an RN, you will still be clearing about 10k without a problem.
  18. Awesome. ANy more?
  19. I wanted to create a thread that would bring all the nurses ( LVN's and RN's) and everyone in the nursing field to give a little motivation as to why people should get into the nursing field. For example, I myself am very interested in doing this and most likely I will, but I feel like there are some blocks that are in front of me that keep me unsure and not 100% motivated. Ive heard that it is intense, but I want to break those blocks and be 110% motivated! So all i ask is if anyone can give their piece of mind about their experience/lifestyle as a nurse and why others should get into it would really be fantastic and you will definitely give a helping hand. I very much appreciate your guys courtesy and anticipation. All thoughts are welcomed. :D:up:
  20. 6 views and no replies? This board has to be a bit more helpful than that.
  21. oh ok. Thats great. Well im glad you finally made it. Now i have to start my journey. What kept you going thru those tough times during the course period?
  22. And hows the pay? Are you in CA?
  23. Thanks for the input. So it was worth it? WHy so?
  24. I have no medical background, and Im very new to the medical field. My goal is to become an RN. 1) I want to know how long would it take for me to become an RN once i get in the RN program? 2) Or Is it better to become an LVN first then transfer to RN? What would the time frame look like for both?
  25. Yeah Marian college said there is not waiting list. I scheduled my entrance exam for friday. So you think its a good school?
