For nurses who work from home
Thank you, that was helpful- I didn't realize 12-hour shifts could be done from home. Do you have a set time for breaks?

For nurses who work from home
For those of you who work from home, what do you do and what does your schedule look like? Are you allowed to set your own hours? How does your pay compare to bedside nursing? Also, if any of you have young children, how has that been working out? Thanks!

Per Diem non-bedside?
I think outpatient counts

Per Diem non-bedside?
Just curious- Has anyone ever heard of a per diem RN job that is not bedside? If so, what area of nursing was it?

Working conditions at Barrow, Clearview, or Eastside
Hello, We are moving across the country from California to Walton County. I have 5 years nursing experience with the 2 most recent years in the ICU. Does anyone know about working conditions at Barrow Regional Medical Center in Winder, Clearview Regional Medical Center in Monroe, or Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. I would hopefully work in the ICU. Does anyone know the patient ratios or how well nurses are treated at these hospitals? Thanks!

Pregnant and debating getting the flu shot - Advice??
I work in the ICU and I am in my second trimester. I am worried about getting the flu shot because even the preservative free shot contains mercury. I know the flu shot only protects from a couple strains and getting vaccinated is not a guarantee that you won't get the flu. However, I am also worried about not being vaccinated especially because of the population I work with. Does anyone have any personal experiences with this?

Travel Agencies
I do not have an answer to your question but I am interested in those same companies for a travel assignment in May... Have you learned anything new about these companies? Have you started working for one?

Taking a Second RN job
Hello, I graduated in December and started a job on a busy med-surg floor. I absolutely love it and I am so happy to be working. The hospital I work for is very strict about working 36 hours and no more. I would really like to take a second job elsewhere. I would like the second job to be "easy" (or less stressful) as my main job is stressful/crazy and I never sit down once during the 12 hour shift (I am not complaining, I really enjoy my first job but I don't need another job that is as tiring). Being new in the field, I don't really know what types of jobs are available. Does anyone have any suggestions on types of jobs I could look for that could be one day a week/once every two weeks or per diem? Thanks in advance!
