Oh I see, I dont kno why they stopped doing the 15mth program because ppl without a bachelors could have entered. I guess they want ppl to stay longer for more money.Yea 15mths is long for an ABSN, if I had a a bachelors degree I would only consider that. There are different organic chem classes, u have some that are for premed ppl, I am talking intro to organic chem, thats all u need, take the intro one its hard but not as hard as the real organic. U should be able to take it.

Its not accelerated, its a regular 4 yr program(now atleast, cuz in the past ppl finished in 14mths), u just start as a junior when u have all the classes and all u need is nursing. There is usually a limit for science in most schs, u have complete 2 chem classes for them 2 count, I did general chem and organic, otherwise u have 2 take their chemistry class which is 5 cred.

it takes 5 semester=2 1/2 yrs, but the last class they prob make u take in the summer, so it would be 2 yrs You have to have A&P 1n2, Micro,Chemistry (this is the required classes they have in my degreeworks for progression to nursing classes(need statistic to progress to NUR400, this u can do in program,I had it done tho)

Thanks, for the year I may jus borrow about 8gran because of the grants and scholarships, just books n uniform out of pocket right now,cause I'm not gonna borrow if I dont need to. Hopefully after my first semester I can qualify for some more scholarships. Good luck with NCC. All the schs go to the same hospitals for clinicals so its the same thing anyway.

I called again and they said its 5 semesters, everyone is going to have to follow the sequence so no graduating sooner.They say the 5th semester probably will be offered in the summer of 2012 so it will be 2 yrs. I'm gonna just go because I want my BSN, it practically the same time.

I got accepted, have all the prereqs, registered for classes.All I need is the 14 nursing classes. They have preset classes for u to take each semester. It says I should be done 2012 fall r summer if they have clinicals still. The problem I'm having is that a couple months ago I called the manhattan campus(going to GC) and I was told it takes 14 mths,n GC is saying something else, with the preset classes I dont see how even if u take classes in the summer, unless that professionalism clinical only lasts a few weeks,less than a full semester. I'm going to call them again to see what their schedule is like students because I really want to finish sooner.

If you leave now u would have wasted a year and the tuition. Is it that bad that u cant stick it out. There is no guarantee that the next school would be that much better. I just got accepted for fall and I hope my experience is different from urs. Either way I would stick it out. Are u failing any classes at the moment? Have u failed any?

I went on all the time too, if doesnt change over the weekend it should next week. 300 people took the test that day, and out of the people who passed, mayb they are going in alphabetical order to look at transcript, u never know, my last name starts with b. I see no reason 4 them to not accept u. Again good luck and dont panic

Thank Kuk and Jayz, good luck to u guys too Jayz u will get in, my reading was like on the line 61.9, sci 70, math 70, english 66, overall i belief 68% and you got higher than I did overall. I had a previous associate and I graduated with 3.8 and my qcc gpa is at a 3.8 as well,your gpa was good and so are the teas scores. I think once you pass the minimum score then they look at transcripts. Does it say your application is complete and under review?

Hey guys I was accepted for fall at adelphi, the website just changed my status, it said my app was complete about 3 days ago so anyone who took it on the 18 should find out any day now

i applied to the li campus cause i live in queens and its closer.

I'm sure we did, I sat at the back third row, towards the window.It was alot better than the Pax, it was alright. I hope I do good, cant wait for the end of the week. Good luck as well.

Hey guys I took the TEAS yesterday 4/18 at 1pm,anyone else?, will prob get results by the end of the week,will keep u posted.

They want 3.0and above, I'm not sure what my gpa will be when they take the classes they need, its currently 3.8 at qcc and I have an AS in computer with 3.8 as well.

I know my application isnt complete til I take the test. You need all the classes only for the manhattan campus but not for the garden city, just look at curriculum on the website and try to see how many of the non nursing classes you have.

MAT856 I think I'm going to register to take the TEAS on 4/18 how was it?I wont here from them until I take the exam. There arent really any prereqs because remember people start out of high school. Most transfer people take a&p 1 and 2, micro , eng101 and so forth, cant go wrong with classes like those. Why dont you call the school and ask or just go over there

I applied to Adelphi for fall 2010 I'm just waiting to take the TEAS, I'll take it about April when they post the new dates up. I'm currently at QCC, applying there also, not sure that I want to attend, if I get into both I think I'll choose Adelphi, if I get enough financial aid and scholarships because it will take me the same time to get my ASN as my BSN because I have all other classes and it would save me time from having to go back to get BSN. I'm going to apply to molloy as well just as a backup. What about you guys?
