Thank you so much for your reply, I appreciate it. I have got to ask the patient if she is using any kind of CAM. this is because I will see what kind of alternative medicine she might be using so I will be sure it is not contradicting with the pain management I supposed to do. Also, I got to ask her about the pain. in other word I will assess her pain by asking her to describe the pain. This is because pain is subjective and the only way is to ask the patient if we need to provide proper care. because the doctor didnt assess her pain. I really cant think further. I am so thankful to you traumaRUs :):)

thank you for your reply and time reading it. i just want to tell you i am nurse and i am not in school anymore it is that i am applying for work in palliative care department and this an example for the questions i might be asked, i am not asking to make nursing care plan i am just asking what are the 4 critical questions that will help in making the nursing care plan. i know how to do history taking and all the health assessment and make a nursing care plan for other patients but in the case of cancer patients, they are in need for special care therefore in need for special questions to be asked. as a nurse in advanced care for cancer patients with advanced stages i think there are many things to be asked but how can we decide if this a critical question or not, and my future boss limited me with what i supposed to say. i am not expert here thats why i needed help from the expert people. again whispera i heartly thank you for reading and replying. :):)

  4. well I am sure of the story, The patient is diabetic, developed renal failur, and arrested once. The doctors decided if the patient will arrest again will not be resuscitated again I am sure I heard this happened before that the doctors decided like this before in the same hospital. I am sad to hear such thing.
  5. Dear Friends, I have a question (as it just happened to one of my friends' father) The doctors decided not to Resuscitate him if he will arest. My question here: Does the patient (if possible as it is the case here) or his family to involve in such decision or disagree with the doctors? Thnx

  7. Hhehehe yah that uni. I wish I had the study link but sorry I can not find it, this topic just came when me and few friends were talking last two days and I loved to share it here. :typing
  8. Hi CardiaRN2006 and other friends, yes this is 100% true, but why I put this question is to open a discussion because there is one study done in the university of Hoikens (Iam not sure the name is right or not) in Baltemor in USA stated that Men is the first to die because the immune system is the weaker among the two genders and it is quite late in defencing the body. And both immune system in the beginning of formation (newborn) is the same in both genders but in the adulthood the it change, where the women immune system is faster in growth than men. My purpose of puting this online I wanted to open a discussion and would like to know if anyone read this study so we can improve our knowledge in someway. Thank you all for sharing.

  11. Is this true: "Blame nurses with poor patients' out-come, and doctors will be appreciated with good patients' out-come?"
