  1. No, though I have everything completed, I'm being told that P.V. Houston is still working out issues with the Hesi exam and no one has been scheduled for May due to this per Ms. Anderson. I was told that I can't pay for it because there is no price yet, etc. Do you know who you spoke with?
  2. I am refering to Prairie View appliclants who are applying for the basic upper level portion in Houston.
  3. are there any other transfer students who have registered for the hesi exam this coming may, who are planning on applying for the basic bsn for spring 2011. have any of you been successful in registering to take the test in houston for this may?....just asking.
  4. So did you Ms.Anderson tell you that the Hesi Exam was available to take on May 5th?
  5. Actually, I do have some debt from the previous program that I was in. I am really considering the second option you mentioned....going for the BSN again next year. I just hate that I will be a yr older...oh no, lol. Let this be a lesson to others who are unaware of how not taking college course grades seriously can really bite you in the butt down the road. I have a few weeks to give it some deep brainstorming. Thanks llg.
  6. Unfortunately, I was waited listed for the BSN program that I wanted to attend. However, I know it was my fault because I refused to repeat Human A & P I & II which I received ©s in 5 years ago. I am 28 and tired of waiting, I want my nursing career now! Though my GPA is good and my NET score was decent, both BSN programs that I interviewed for really concentrated on the grade in these courses. Anyhow, I was accepted into a ADN program....I already have 2 Associate degrees(too many college credits). This means that financial aid at a community college might not pay for my schooling. I will apply for scholarships but I do not think this will be enough. I also did not realize that ADN programs do not offer student health insurance. What? I have never gone without insurance before, though I rarely use it. I am currently working in the medical field making $50k a year with great benefits but I really want to be a nurse. In order for me to complete this 2 yr program I must stop working full time. I have heard how difficult it is to work while in a nursing program but I have worked part time in another demanding program before. It was tough. Is it really possible to work part time on the weekends so that I may maintain health insurance while attending an ADN program? ....Keep in mind that I am a single chic who supports herself without any outside assistance. Please tell how you did it/are making it....all realistic suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
  7. Does #1 (about patho 2305) also apply to Fall 2009 applicants? Has anyone else heard about this before?
  8. Is anyone else not too happy with Exam 1 in patho 2305 at San Jac?
  9. to: nikomo i'm curious, did you interview or just receive an acceptance letter?
  10. To those who have recently received an interview invite.....was it by mail, email, or a phone call?
  11. Updated FYI, the application process for the generic BSN program won't begin until late April.
  12. The last time I called-weeks ago. The lady over the phone told me that it would be quite a long time before interview letters start going out. Though it is frustrating to wait, I understand that UTMB is trying to get back on it's feet. Keep your fingers crossed.
  13. (Namster) So, you found out about a week after the interview that you was accepted? How long ago was you a student? What year did you graduate from this program? I am just trying to find out if this info maybe accurate for the Fall 2009 class.
  14. Hello, I've applied for the BSN program. Can anyone tell me if the admission coordinators have a say in who is interviewed? I'm refering to Tarsha Young. Or is she more like an advisor of the program?
  15. I am and have always worked full time while attending school part time, so, I definitely know what you are talking about. I just don't think I will go that route while attending nursing school.
