  2. Well, I just went to orientation. I start theory classes next tues. and thur. with the lab the following week. We had 72 in the class with them taking a #10 alternate. That means you can get around 16 pts and get in with around a 3.0 gpa. Shoot for at least 16 pts. and a 3.0. The instructors seem ok but it is not going to be easy. Just time consuming and alot of reading and organization. The tests are going to be a little different as well. They said just read, read, and read and stay about 3 days ahead. =) Good luck to you.......
  3. I was #3 on the alternate list with a 3.2 gpa and 16 pts., and I got in. I would say that they usually take 1-10 alternates, that is about how many can't start for whatever reasons.
  4. Yes, I got accepted into the 2-year traditional program and I feel like I just won the lottery. =)
  5. Well Katy, I just got accepted yesterday with 16 pts, 3.15 gpa and #3 on the alternates list. I have completed all my pre-reqs and it took me 4 semesters to do so, with work and all. I know the next deadline to have everything turned in is dec. 17th and then they will surely grab more alternates. It is better to have all your pre-reqs done as the nursing phases will be hard enough. Gosh, I am so excited.....=) It seems it has been a long time getting here but I see now it is well worth it.
  6. I have heard that they only usually take 10 to 12 alternates but who knows for sure until the deadlines are met. Like if people don't turn stuff in and all. I am still waiting to hear so I will keep you updated.....=)
  7. That is what I have heard. I am not for sure but I think they always take around 10 alternates, I could be wrong though. I know if you find out the last minute that is not much time to prepare and get ready but I don't care. This is something I have been waiting on for four semesters! =) Have you applied or are you going to?
  8. To update, I myself applied for the spring of 09 with 16 pts. and a 3.15 gpa. I am #3 on the alternate list. I hope they call me soon!
  9. I know this is a older thread but just seeing if anyone is still out there. I applied at occc for spring 09 and just got my letter in today. I had 16 pts and a 3.15 gpa. I am #3 on the alternate list. I sure hope they call me!
