Any CRNAs out there with only NICU before school?
I am applying to CRNA school now. I have 3.5 years level III NICU experience including transport (able to intubate, put in lines etc). I was just wondering what other CRNAs who only had NICU experience thought about how well prepared they were for school. Did you feel it was harder not having adult experience? What was your interview like? Did you have to answer a lot of adult-based clinical questions? Did you feel like it was more difficult to get into school without having adult experience?

RNC vs CCRN for CRNA school
I am a NICU nurse planning on applying to CRNA school and want to get my RNC or CCRN certification. Is one better than the other? What is the difference between the two?

NICU RN to CRNA?
No, I'm not an NNP...I just had to have special training and successfully perform certain skills. I had 2 1/2 years of experience when I was asked to join the team. Our hospital is the only level 3 NICU in the area, so we are responsible for picking up sick babies from all surrounding hospitals. Its only you and an RT in the field so you have to be very comfortable with your skills. It is very challenging, but also very rewarding! Hope this helps. :)

NICU RN to CRNA?
I am currently a NICU nurse considering CRNA school. I work in a level 3 NICU and deal a lot with vents, drips, lines etc. I also recently joined the transport team where I have had the opportunity to intubate, place umbilical lines, and perform other procedures most nurses are not allowed to do. My undergraduate GPA is a 4.0 and I have yet to take the GRE. I would just like to know my chances in getting in considering I dont have experience with adult critical care. Any information/advice is appreciated!
