  1. Yes, I did go. And I loved the place. It's real wonderful. Everybody is friendly. I was shown around with this kind and joyful lady.Your secretary was also kind and down to earth, much better treatment from other places I have been. Especial on the greeting and the fact they make you feel at ease.Still sorting out something, coz they don't have the 7am-3pm shift, rather the 3-11pm shift so am trying to sort out my daycare issue. But will definately consider the position. Thanks for checking on me again.
  2. Thnx Atla.l real do appreciate and will definetly keep in touch.Am all set and ready. Thanx for the tips. Have a good day.
  3. Hey Atla, Went over to Sunrise, got the application, and they asked me to come back on Wednesday with the application.I am hoping that I will get the 7am-3pm shift, any tips for me,incase its an on site interview? Just noticed that over the HCR Manor where I had put in my application they still need cna's for 3-11pm.Wish I could be able to get a daycare that operates late nights/any place that they care for children during the night. Am still looking around for jobs and late daycare 2.If I get something, you will surely be the first to know. Thnx Atla.
  4. still driving around putting my applications ,if u r kind enough to read my thread and you know of job openings/up coming job fairs (cna related)/other suggestion that can help me out or if anyone knows of a daycare that closes at around 11:30pm. still post me...details
  5. In class there are 2 different kind of students; the attention seekers and the self reserved. It takes all efforts for one to seek attention, and annoying others might be what they can do best. I have been in youa shoes, during my course and I know how annoying it is when you give your all, only to attend class with the jokers, who behave like they came for vacation. As long as you know what you want in life, don't mind them, switch sitting position if you can, give them a blind eye.Mean stares/looks from people won't kill you.During my cna course, the class was kind of divided into 2 groups the jokers, and those who were serious, they hadly talked with us,and laughed when this student wanted to finish all her practical perfectly(e.g. bed sheets well aligned).Whatever bond they have is just class friendship, after the course everyone will be on their own, thats when reality will strike each one of them. As for you, Good luck and take heart,4 hard work conquers all.In life you have 2 kinds of friends those who are there to build you, and those who are out there to destroy you. Choose your friends wisely.
  6. Thanx again, U made my day,I have been so stressed. Yes I am a certified Nurse Assistant, got all my paper work with me to prove that, am qualified. you saved me. 9. hey everyone, i just did my cna exams and passed very well, both my skills and written exams. my performance in school was above average and sacrificed a lot.had to spend sleepless nights with my baby, who wouldn't sleep unless i curdle her to sleep,i had to nurse her until she was asleep so that i could read, which ended up to be late nights with 2hrs sleep or no sleep at all. now that i have graduated, i have managed to put in my applications to several ltc, i got reply from some of them, but they require me to work 3pm-11pm. my biggest problem is that all daycares that i know of operate from 6:30am- 6:30pm. i desperately need help in form of information, from any good samaritan which ever information that might be of heip. if anyone knows of a daycare that operates until 12midnight within wilkinsburg, penn hills, or in monroeville,or within codes 15235 kindly send me a reply. or if anyone knows of any long term care facilities that can give me a job schedule of 7am- 3,7am- 4pm kindly reply. i will appreciate whatever feedback i can get. i need a job, to pay bills and provide for my little one. i never thought that after all my hardwork and sleepless nights,it would be difficult to get an employer who would be kind enough to give me a 7am-3pm shift. my zipcode is 15235, so any assistance based on my 2 issues (daycare/job at ltc) will be appreciated.)am in your hands my dear ones, my heart pounding..... thanks everyone whose dedicated their time and love to care for others in our community. anyone who lives within 15235, or know any daycare around this area kindly send me a reply.looking forward to your response.

My concern is my little one and getting a daycare that operates 3pm-12noon.If I can get that am willing so much to work 3pm-11pm.I have no problem with night shifts or the 3pm- 11pm shift. Or any Long term care facilities that are close to daycares that close late/24hrs. Am still searching and its driving me out of my mind. It's so stressful for me.

  13. Hallo everyone,:redbeathe I work as a HHA in a nursing home facility, my worry is one of my hand is disable, but I can work with it fine and normal like any normal person.Based on my physical taken prior to my employment, the physician got me fit to perform my duties,to date I have performed all my duties with no complains from the clients or relatives. My worry is I intended to join nursing school in the course of the year, but prefer starting from the CNA level, will my disability cost me,my dream career to be a nurse? Or what kind of disability will limit someone's chance to be a nurse or a doctor? Your assistances will be highly appreciated?
