  1. I working towards finishing up my BSN. I am looking for a nurse who is in the infomatics field to conduct a short interview about their job for a course project I am working on. Any of the job titles are exceptable. Nursing Clinical Information Manager; Super User, Director/Manger Clinical Education; Chief Information Officer; Quality Assurance or Performance Improvement Nurse; Nurse Informaticist; Telenursing Specialist; Nurse Abstractor; Case Manager; Compliance Nurse The interview can be via email with a few questions. Thank you
  2. I have to revise my careplan because I have the wrong/incorrect nursing diagnosis. My patient has a hx of Colitis and came in with complaints of diarrhea and abdominal discomfort. For my 3 dx's I put: 1. diarrhea r/t inflammation of bowel and instructor comments were diarrhea is a med dx and I can't put inflammation of bowel because I can't see that. 2. Impaired Nutrition: less than body requirements r/t impaired absorption. Her comments were I don't know that she has impaired absorption. 3. I used pain and that is only approved dx. So for the first 2 I am so lost where or how to come up with a nursing dx for my patient. They have a history of bowel problems with a partial removal of the colon (hemi-colectomy) caused by a cecal colvulus. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate the help. Patient has been on a clear liquid diet for tests but put back on a regular later in the day. Most of the meds that they are taking do have a s/e of diarrhea. Diarrhea is listed on the NANDA list so I am not sure if i am using in the appropriately.
