  1. :eek:Wow!!! I have to say when I posted my original question (Whether ER nursing is considered critical care), I was expecting one or two responses with a more yay, nay answer. I had no idea there was so much tension and debate regarding who's who in nursing. One thing I am happy about, it seems that everyone here obviously takes a lot of pride in the work they do. I have not seen too many fields in the corporate world where individuals poor so much of themselves into what they do on the job. :yeah:This is definitely what I've been looking for. (Sans the mild :argue: cattyness of course) :heartbeatThank you ladies and gents.
  2. :typing Does anyone have any advice on how a new grad can get a job in the ER? I've heard it's shark territory for new grads but I'm up for the challenge. :heartbeat Any advice out there?
  3. Maisy, what is the hostility against ER nursing?
  4. :typingThanks Everybody for all the info. Yes I was asking because I would like to continue my education to become a nurse practitioner, however I really want to work in the ER:heartbeat. I'm not sure if aspiring nurse practitioners tend to lean toward one area or another and was just trying to see what the story is.
  5. I am a first year nursing student. I do not have any experience in the health care industry. I am wondering if ER nursing is considered critical care? Also, what areas are considered critical care?:typing
