Hi all, I am trying to get in to a Hospital as a RN in Chicago location.Trying since 4th July2011 through hospitals` website. My question is - Is that hard to get a Job in this Economy?

Hi All, Firstly - Happy New Year to one and all. Back in September while i was trying to obtain a nursing license in Illinois, you all were very helpful in sharing information and guiding me. Folks at ultimatenurses forum were helpful too. I am happy to say that i have received my license and i have been subsequently offered a job at two of the state's reputed hospitals. Both are within 25 miles of where i plan to live. The question is - how do i pick between the two hospitals. I have no friends or contacts in the state of Illinois that can give me personal insights. If any of you are practising as a RN in Illinois, please give me some tips. The two hospitals are - elmhurst memorial health center (elmhurst, il) and our lady of resurrection (chicago, il). Hi All, I am a newbie to online forums. I have a quick question. I hold a Maryland RN license and am currently practicing. My license is currently active. I was planning to move to Illinois for personal reasons. I was getting ready to apply for an endorsement in the state of Illinois and obtain a license there. My question is - 1. If i get my license in Illinois approved, will that automatically cancel my current Maryland license? 2. Are nurses allowed to practice in more than one state? 3. And are there any state-specific rules that would disable me hold licenses in both MD and IL states at the same time? Thanks in advance :wink2:
