Hi everyone! This is my first post here, so bear with me :) I'm about to graduate w/ a BA in Political Science but I know that what I really want to do is become a Certified Nurse Midwife. (Long story how that all came about...) Of course the first step on that journey is getting into Nursing School. Currently I'm researching Direct Entry MSN programs - Does anyone have any experience with them? I'll be taking about two years to apprentice with a midwife, and get my prereqs in order before I apply. In general what courses should I have under my belt before I apply? (the requirements seem to vary from program to program) Also, which distance/online courses are reputable for prereqs? I'm having a hard time discerning who's legit. Are there courses are better suited for direct classroom experience or for distance ed.? I ask because for at least a year I will be teaching English in Guatemala but it would be great to get some courses under my belt while I'm away. Anyway, sorry to be so long and have so many questions! I look forward to getting to you know all. :heartbeat
