Surviving Clinicals
Hello! I'm a nursing student at LBCC right now, and I'm a first semester student. From what I heard, as long as you remember the patient's safety ( putting the siderail up, bed at the lowest possible position, and wearing gloves), HIPPA, OBRA, and privacy, than you should do fine. And if the instructor is kind of hard on you, just remember not to take it personally. Just listen and pay attention to what's going around you. Also never just stand in 1 place doing nothing. Finally try to do a study group with only 2-3 people in them. Try having a study group that supports you too. That's all the advice that was given to me by other nursing students here. I hope this helps

Missed the Scheduled TEAS test!!!!!HELP!!!!!
I'm sorry I didn't post up a follow up for so long. I contacted the place where I was going to do the TEAS test, and they allowed me to the TEAS on a make up day. Everything worked out for the best. I passed the TEAS ( thank goodness!), and now I'm in the nursing program at LBCC. To me, if you do the practice book test, and understand it, you will do just fine

TEAS Test
There's one question where you find which picture in the answer match the directions, and they had some questions using maps and basically you have to know east, south, west, north etc. i

Missed the Scheduled TEAS test!!!!!HELP!!!!!
i have been accepted for spring 09 at lbcc. I didn't call and sign up earlier on like I should, and now I missed all the scheduled TEAS testing times. What will happen to me? Do you think she would allow me to take a TEAS later on and give it to her? I know this is not good, since I'm giving her a bad first impression about me...

I need help with LBCC clinicals!
I've going to be a new RN student, and the one thing that I'm nervous about is the clinicals during the first 9wks of the program. Changing poop, , and seeing naked adults probably won't bother me. The thing that would bother me is how I would interact with sick patients. How is the clinical like? What should I focus on so I won't fail the clinical part? And if you fail the clinical part, can you remediate? Please help me! Thanks Alot, noraneka

Here's my situation: a really awkard one
I've taken all my pre req for RN program and gotten c in anat, b in micro, and c in physio ( i had to repeat it 3 times in order to get the required gpa). Then I also did my back up plan , which is the LVN route : A in pharm, B in mental health , A in transitional, and unfortunately F in CNA. With grades like this, is it still possible to become a nurse? Please help me by giving me suggestions thank you!
