OPT extension
The 29 month extension applies only to those who graduated under the STEM degree and that does not include nursing. You might want to go back to school, get your masters degree if you wish.

Colorado employer, Legal or not?
Beware of these sort of agencies. They will tell you everything is possible. But what can they do when retrogression is in effect. Before I got into this mess, I did not know what it meant by retrogression, VB and all that. I was told everything is paid for by employer but after I signed the contract they said I needed to pay for my dependents which took over $6000. They said we should complete the medical ASAP for AOS which we did but the retrogression was never lifted and it is alreay over a year and is not effective anymore. Now you cant do anythign coz you have signed a contract with them which states that you will need to pay $10500 if you break the contract. So please be extra careful when dealing with these CROOKS. They will take advantage of you and good luck you guys.

Retrogression=aftermath/how you feelin'??
Hey Liverpool Jane, It is so great to see that positivity in you. I only wish I could be that way. I see that you are planning to do your ADN, this way even though the visas are not current, you could be qualified to apply for the H1 visa which is far better than none, Right? The irony is that I myself is planning to come to the UK as my family members live there. I am looking over the bridging program. I think I am going to take this seriously before things start to change in the UK as well. BTW, Liverpool is my fav. English soccer team. Go Reds!!

Interprete Lab/Tests resutls to patients
Hey everybody, what do you say when a pt or their family wants you to interprete a lab results/tests and you dont know how to interpret the result? anybody been in that situation. I had a pt. wanting to know a recent CT scan result. As I was reading the interpretation, there were at least 5 diff things listed although one was easy in simple terms describing that there was no hemorrhage but the others were totally out of knowledge, describing growth of certain nodules and all. And most awkwardly, I did not know why the CT was done in the first thing as nothing was mentioned in the Physician Notes. Any suggestions.........

Hi there, yeah, give LTC a try, or even smth like a TCU, you should be able to gain experience and since citizenship is not a problem for you b/c you should be able to get your residency once your spouse becomes a citizen. good luck

To Reg Nur 2008, I am new to this site, I got your message but did not know how to reply directly to you. May be somebody can help me here.. BTW, to anser your question, yes, it was hard to get a job on OPT. All the hospitals wants you to fill application online. ANd part of the application says, Do you need help with sponsorship. You want to be true to yourself, so you check "yes" and realize that they never call. It is just not the case with me but a couple of my friends with BSN degree and high GPA's experienced similar situation. SO, what would you do, you job hunt in states that are more on a scarcity for nurses. It really is a torture if your are a intl student in this country.:banghead:
