  2. I am also a pre-nursing student at Wright State so if ne 1 would like to network let me know i would'nt mind meeting new ppl
  3. Hi i am currently in enrolled in a 4year U. My major is nursing intent. Honestly i never planned on being a nurse nor did i want to be a nurse, but in highschool it kinda fell in my lap i had started taking nursing aid training classes i did'nt even think i could do it , but my teacher pushed me forward and i went through the program and did really good. I just did'nt want to go through the program because i thought the skills testing was going to be hard and plus i did not want to wipe any ones butt but after getting through the program and working as a aid wiping butt was'nt to bad plus i just did'nt like the physical strain that nursing aides go through. Im just kinda concerned that nursing may not be for me because i have never worked at a job as an aid for a straight year, and i have been state tested a little over 2yrs now. My first job told me maybe i should work somewhere a little more slow paced i was so upset when my 1st job did not work out i really like working there i guess they just did'nt like me. I know that i was doing the best i could and after all it was first time working as aid. My second went well for 4months and i really don't know exaclty why that did'nt work out. I was planning on becoming a lawyer but changed my mind when i realized how much i liked watching child birthing reality tv series and thats when i knew i really wanted to be a nurse, i want to be CNM. I want to do this because i just love working with people i can meet some1 i don't even know and talk to them like i have known them forever,i am a very tolerent person i don't get upset easily so im very patient, and im a nosy and curious type of person i like being involved in others personal lives. I know it is going to take more than these things to be nurse and im willing to work at it to be a good nurse im just wondering am i off to a right start how can i really be sure that nursing is really for me and also it is NOT about the money with me i just want something thats going to have my attention i dont want to do something im going to get bored with and everytime i try to think about doing something else nursing comes back to my mind like what if i dnt become a nurse i really can't picture my self doing anything else even when i try to
  4. amen to that !!!
  5. I spelled everything correctly the only thing that was missing was punctuation marks. I'll remember2 keep everything just right, and in plain english so that every1 can understand my post.
  6. Not to be a smart ellic but i know the steps to becoming a midwife, i have been researching this 4 about a yr or more. I can either become a direct entry MW or a go to school 4 my bsn,and then go back to school 2more years 4my msn in midwifery i have already done my research and i don't want to be a doula. When i was talking about being a MW4 free i was talking about if some1 that needed my services and could'nt afford it i would do it 4 free, and also i know the difference in between CNM,a direct entry MW, and a doula. Im not trying2 be a know it all either. I just take it very offensively when some1 is trying2 treat me like i don't know anything, so if u can't share ur experience with me or answer my post then y bother, im sorry im not trying2 be mean.
  7. Thanks. I know that there is a certain way2 write it's just that im not the type2 consider the way that something is written unless neccessary. Thanks again being scolded will help me2 consider my writting more. P.S becoming a nurse is not really about the money its about becoming a midwife, i want2 be a midwife with a nursing background, and i would love being a midwife so much i would do this4 free if had2. I really like the idea of working with women and newborns. I know this is what i want its just that feeling that i have deep down.
  8. Hi i am a mother of 1 my child is school age i am going2 start school soon as a college freshman and i am just wondering if nursing is really4 me i can connect with ppl well i am a very indifferent person nothing really bother's me unless ur really really taking advantage of me being so laid back i have been an aide4 2yrs but i have only worked as a aide(STNA) 4 a total of 5 months so i have experienced changing and the physical involved with being a aide it did'nt bother me much i just did'nt like the physical u know the turning ppl other than that i did'nt mind being a aide so im just wondering if being a nurse is 4 me i don't mind the nasty thing's that come along with being a nurse i really like being in the mix with ppl and helping ppl i mean i know that becoming and being a nurse is a lot of responsability and i really don't think doing ne thing else would be 4 me im really hoping2 become a midwife 1day and im just trying2 figure this all out b4 i get my self in deep stuff plus im trying2 figure out if can really manage 4yrs of school and a child im really going2 be juggling
