Thomas Edison RN-BSN program
Thank you for your reply. I looked for schools in my state but all of them required 3-4 extra elective classes.. I don't want to spend extra time. so I tried to go to Thomas Jefferson because I knew this school does not make me any electives. Then I've heard about Thomas Edison. I don't know how many credits will be transfered and am waiting their response now. My goal is going back to my home town, NJ. It was really tough to get a job in NJ with / without experience. So I want to know the reputation of TESC in NJ. BTW are you in TESC? If you are, how are classes going? Do you like there?

Thomas Edison RN-BSN program
I'm current RN on med/surg floor and looking for a school for my BSN. I've heard Thomas Edison from one of my friends and sent an application form and my transcripts... 10 days later, they sent me welcome letter. It was really quick. :icon_roll Actually, I was thinking Thomas Jefferson university but their application is really complicated... I couldn't finished yet. I lived in NJ years ago but I never heard it so I want to know anything about Thomas edison (the reputation and classes...etc). Also once I finish my school, I plan to relocate to NJ. Thomas Edison vs. Thomas Jefferson... any idea? Thanks!!

interview @whc
In my case, 3 nurses came in a room and asked me a bunch of questions. As zam44 said, they asked me generic questions and then they picked one patient scenario from the conversation that we had. A lot of 'what if' questions.. very intense. It was my first job interview and the toughest interview ever. Good luck!

Need advice about job offer!
I agree with all of your posts. I decided to go to hospital 'B'. As Dolce said, I like their environment. During the 3 hour share time, I was very comfortable even though it was my first visit. I'll focusing on this hospital for at least 1-2 years. Thank you for all your advices... My headache is gone~

Need advice about job offer!
Hi all, I'm a new grad and seeking a job for 5months. Finally, I've just got job offers from 2 hospitals. (A&B) 'A' hospital is a very famous magnet hospital. But the starting date for the particular unit is end of March, 5 months later. 'B' hospital is a small teaching hospital. Staff are very kind and it is family like environment. I can start here in early Dec. I'm very tired to find a job so I accepted the 'B' and asked 'A' give me a little time to think. I like both hospitals and don't know what to do. The reason why I accept 'B' is of cause money and I think it's not good to have 10month gap between school and the first job. Can I accept the offer from 'A' and cancel later? I know it's very selfish but I may don't like 'B' or I may be asked to resign during orientation... I think too much. Any idea or advise??

JHH interview tip?
Thank you very much!!!! All of your advices are really helpful. I never think the interview goes for 8 hours.. wow. I don't have the exact date yet, but when they contact me again, I should change the time. And I'll bring my scrub. It will be really uncomfortable to shadow in a suit and hills. How were the nurse recruiter and nurse managers you met? Were they friendly? helpful? Isn't there visitor parking lot? It takes 2 hrs to get there, so I'll drive by myself. Even though I pay the fee, I want to park in the hospital since I don't know the area. Again, thank you for your detailed infomation!!!!

letter of recommendation
Thank you so much. I feel much better now. I felt so behind and depressed. I'll ask my instructors for LOR. blinks14/ Did you photocopy LOR? Is that acceptable? If copied one is OK, it would be much easier to send them all different places.

letter of recommendation
Hello, I've just joined this website and have a question. I should have known here earlier. I graduated in May, 2008 and passed Nclex last week. Now, I'm looking for a job but I haven't applied any hospital yet. I'll visit each hospital to drop my resume. I don't know it would be worth or not but I'll just try it. At this time do I need to have letters of recommendation(LOR) in my hand? I've talked to my instructors before I graduated and they know I use their names as my references. But I don't have letters now. I thought the hospital will contact to references for the letter or phone conversation after interview. However, my classmate said she sent LOR with her application. I'm so confused... What should I do now?
