  1. Hello, I am also applying to UCLA for next fall. Its great to see a thread opened up! Does anyone know how it works if you took classes after graduating from undergrad? I took a lot of my prereq courses after I graduated(in 2009) so I was hoping I can incorporate them into my 60 semester units.
  2. Hi, I am currently a senior in college majoring in Biology. I am very interested in becoming a NP, but with my low gpa (2.9), I am now thinking of taking some time off and retaking some classes before applying to nursing school. I was originally considering the master's entry level programs, but now am thinking about applying to a 2nd bach degree in nursing first since I heard these programs are less competitive to get into. I will be taking physio with lab next semester but anatomy lab is kicking me in the butt right now! I am just wondering if anyone has retaken some of the prereq. (anatomy,micro,physio,stats...etc) after they graduated from college before applying to a nursing program and has that helped? any suggestions/thoughts are welcomed! Thanks!
  3. Hello, I am a senior finishing my last year as a undergraduate. I am highly interested in applying to nursing school(MEPN) next year and eventually becoming a NP. I do not have a nursing degree (I will graduate with a biology degree), so I was just wondering if there are any tips that I can do in terms of getting some nursing experience since I will be taking a year off before I apply? I am currently working as an assistant in a clinical lab and also shadowing a FNP, but I am really interested in getting more hands on experience. I was even looking into some CNA programs since I thought having some sort of license will open up more opportunities. Do nursing schools(for MEPN) even look for that? Thanks!
