  1. Hi, How do you know they are meeting today/tmrw to pick the students?
  2. thank you trendz80, very helpful info! :)
  3. thanks so much for the reply. so, after each course you can decide how much or how little you can take on for the next course?
  4. Hi all, Interested in applying to this MSN FNP program. I understand that the structure is pretty much online self-teaching at your own pace...my question is, do they have a specific course schedule you have to follow? Of the core MSN classes, can you pick and choose what class and when you want to take it?
  5. You've been so helpful. I'm faxing over my unoff transcripts for them to review today. Thanks a lot!!
  6. I just got an email from McK - they said the program was 2 years w/o seeing my transcripts. I'm assuming you made yours a 12 mo program b/c of the two summers?
  7. That is exactly the info that I needed. Actually Vandy has lots of different NP specialties, the most offered that I've seen. There are quite a few specialties that will let you do the first year online there, but if I narrow it down to FNP rather than ACNP w/cardio specialty, then UofL may be the way to go (and def'y cheaper!!!) Thanks so much!!!
  8. Thanks a lot for your reply. I tried to PM you, but for some reason it is not letting me. Anyway, thanks for the info, but how long is the whole program at McK, 12 months, 18 months? And do you know that info about UofL's program (length) I'm actually wanting to go down the NP route, but needing to finish up the BSN first. I have four years of ICU exp. I was actually going between Vandy's RN-MSN, or getting my BSN first and just taking the Vandy bridge program (saving about $25000!) Thanks for your insights.
  9. HI, Anyone in the KY area have experience with UofL's RN-BSN program, online or not? How long is the program? Any other details about UofL's program would be great (there's not a lot of info on their website at all!) And with McKendree, I know they have one day classes, but how long does it take? If you add online to the one day, can you get done with the program earlier?
  10. HI! WA is great. Weather is perfect, 'though I hear just the summers are this wonderful...All in all Seattle and the surrounding areas are very friendly, quite a fun city with beautiful scenery and fun outdoor things to do. I would highly recommend it!
  11. Thanks for your response...I understand everyone's tax structure is different. I was just more or less asking what other posters are bringing home on average, in the highest paying states.
  12. We're on our first assignment in WA and are starting to look for our next location. I hear so many different things/rumors...can anyone shed some light on the current highest paying locations? Specifically ICU/CCU/CVICU. I'm finding CA is paying around $1700/wk take home, are there any other locations that are paying 1800-2000 take home per week? Top pay is priority over location. Thanks in advance!
