Hi all! I love allnurses thus far -- have gleaned a wealth of info here that helped confirmed my decision to become a nurse! I am currently taking my first pre req (english comp/rhetoric) and now I don't know which I should take together... I work 20 hrs a week and have a toddler at home -- she keeps me busy! I am extremely motivated and determined to get most of my pre reqs out of the way but don't want to take on too much and have to drop any classes or make anything less than a B... here is what I have left: Mat 191 - College Algebra Psy 191 - Intro to Psych Bio 193 - A&P I Bio 194 - A&P II Bio 197 - Microbio The following classes are not pre reqs and can be taken during nursing school...I however would like to have them out of the way before that though: Spc 191 - Fund of Speech Soc 191 - Intro to Sociology Psy 291 - Human Growth & Development Sct 100 - Intro to Microcomp and one of the following: HUM 191 Introduction to Humanities OR MUS 191 Music Appreciation OR ART 191 Art Appreciation (I would like to take the music or art class, as that seems more interesting and easier to me than humanities...but would it be more beneficial in this field to take hum 191?) The tech college I attend has 4 semesters--one per season... I was thinking of doing this: Algebra and Intro to Psych this fall, A&P I and Intro to Microcomp in the winter, A&P II and Music App. in the spring, Microbio and Fund. of Speech in the summer, and hopefully in Fall 2009 I will be in the nursing program but will have Sociology and Human G&D left... which shouldnt be too difficult to do, right??? I dunno... Thank you so much for taking the time to read/respond to all of this... I am new to the whole college thing and want to do my best without getting too stressed or going nuts! -Kat
