  1. instead of praying and praying, how about you STUDY some more???? :wink2:
  2. :redbeathe hi ladyqt!!! i took my nclex on july 8th and i found out (after exactly 48 nerveracking hours later) that i passed!! i can tell you that i really believe that you will pass. i believe that after graduating nursing school, we all possess the knowledge needed to pass nclex. we are so much smarter and more powerful than we think we are! anyone can have a bad day, or a bad luck of the draw and not pass nclex! my recommendations (not that i'm any expert, and i'm sure you know this stuff anyway): 1. get a good night's sleep the night before! (i didn't, or couldn't, and i was miserable.) 2. buy yourself a nice breakfast on testing day. (it will be faster than cooking.) 3. don't hesitate to use your breaks! this test is not a sprint, it's a marathon. 4. take your tiiiiiiiiiiiime!!! cannot emphasize this enough! you have plenty of time. read and then reread the question, saying it slowly over and over in your mind. ask yourself with each answer option, "ok, why wouldn't this be the right answer?" 5. remember all of the cool general clues in nclex questions and check for them in each question such as your abcs, maslow's, patient safety always first, go from least invasive to more invasive.... etc all of those good hints. 6. also, in all of the review books i read, they always said to eliminate answer options that are similar (ex: dark leafy greens option is similar to brocolli option), however i really didn't notice many "similar" options in my nclex exam. if you do see similar options, i guess you should be skeptical that one of them is the answer. 7, if you find yourself getting panicky during the exam (like i did), practice deep breathing or cleansing breaths to calm yourself down. i usually don't get flustered while testing, but man i did when i took my nclex! 8. there will be no one that anyone can do/say that will make those next 48 hours go any faster. it was the most agonizing wait i have ever had... just try to do something fun like go to a movie or out with friends...... the wait is a necessary evil unfortunately. ~remember, no matter what the result, be proud of yourself!!! i mean think about it! you got through nursing school, and you got through a really really scary exam, even if you didn't pass! you will be a nurse one day, it's just a matter of how soon. that's it. if you do fail (which you won't), studying and learning more nursing knowledge is only going to help you in your nursing career. wow sorry i rambled. reading these posts around the time of my nclex really helped me to not feel alone. someone who is not in nursing really can't fully "get" how scary nclex can be. you can do this. you have all you need inside of you. please let us know how you do or if you have any questions, etc. i hope this helped, even a little bit!!! :typing
  3. hi ladyqt!!! it means "trust in yourself"! hope that nclex is going well for you!!!
  4. just remember my fellow nurses: אין אף אחד למעלה!!!!!!!!

Good Luck To Everyone And Thank You Again For All Of Your Prayers And Support!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! YOU did it! i think that sometimes we forget just how much we really do know!! we should try to stop doubting ourselves.
  6. december 2905- it will all be ok. regardless of what happens, just keep remembering that YOU WILL BE A NURSE ONE DAY!!! it is just a matter of when! i have a feeling that you will be a great nurse. have confidence in yourself and of all the nursing knowledge that you have absorbed. go for a nice walk, it's nice outside almost everywhere in the country. that will help you get some jitters out and will expose you to something beautiful. exercise really is the best way to relieve nerves. just remember that you are the one who got yourself through school! you can do this... and you will!:heartbeat
  7. just remember guys, YOU did it!!! YOU made it happen!!!
  8. hi guys~ i am very proud of all of you, EVEN though i don't know you! you should all be so proud of your knowledge. i think you all should take pride in yourselves and remember that no one passed this test for you but YOU!!!! that is such an empowering feeling, isn't it? feel confident in YOURSELF and YOUR abilities!
  9. really don't worry---- i took nclex-rn on july 8. the computer shut off at 106 questions and I PASSED!!!!! it IS a weird number, but you STILL can pass...................... and WILL pass!!!
  10. :up:congratulations!!!! you did it!! you should be very proud of all that YOU know!
  11. ok secretname... first off, take a deep breath. remember- no matter what happens, you will be a great nurse one day... it's just a matter of when. try to get plenty of sleep the night before... and treat yourself to an awesome breakfast. arrive at least a half hour early. practice cleansing breaths during the test if you start to feel yourself getting nervous. (it sounds corny i know, but it really helped me.) read each question s l o w l y. and THEN read it AGAIN. (repeat as many times as necessary!) TAKE YOUR TIME!!!! remember maslow's, ABCs, patient safety first... all the good stuff. take your breaks if you need them. if you get to 75 and it doesn't shut off, don't panic. i had 106 questions and still passed. honestly for me, the hardest thing about it came after when i realized taht i had missed what seemed like TONS of questions. i was convinced that i had failed. then came the wait... but just have faith in your self and remember that your amazing knowledge and personality got you through nursing school. you CAN DO THIS.... and you WILL do it. wishing you the best!
  12. i would definetly recommend that you take a deep breath and then take a nice long scenic walk. the weather is nice nearly all over the country. by doing that, you will calm down (as much as possible!) and will get some exercise which will help your mood, untense your body and ease your nerves.
  13. congratulations!!! even though i don't know you, i'm PROUD. i guess i'm proud of anyone who passes nclex!
  14. it's a pretty common thing to have happen from what i hear... just take a deep breath!
