  1. Your entitled to your opinion.. It's yours, not mine. Thanks for your input. My position remains solid and unchanged.
  2. Thanks for the information. We would also be interested where your facts come from exactly... Provide government hyperlinks to reputable sources, otherwise it is no more true than anything else. None of the information you provide is substantiated either. Thanks for your imput though. I will research your points to prove/disprove it to myself.
  3. The EU will have the best since Europe's educational system is far better than the watered down version we American's have to accommodate everyone but ourselves.
  4. When I went to visit my family in Southampton and Winchester, I was shocked at the number of Foreign Medical people in Britain. It was even worse in the Irish Republic on another family visit. You Brits need to preserve your medical profession as well. Your people are also your greatest National Resource. Your English language is spoken in all First World countries.
  5. Wonderful so would an American nurse.
  6. Our country is a place where one person can make a difference. Talk this anti-American issue up with your compatriots. Write to your elected officials. Get involved and this will spread throughout our profession until the noise if so loud that we will be heard...
  7. Thank God we are starting to flush out the intelligent and patriotic nurses who love their countrymen/women in this beleagered nursing profession. Accolades...
  8. Why don't you do a commercial for them. Advocate for them against your own countrymen/women. You won't be the first. Remember Benedict Arnold??
  9. All this talk about race is puzzling. Are the detractors of the OP saying that Americans are white and Foreigners are other?????
  10. This is about preserving our economic livelihood. You can cast any "ignorance" label you want but I am only interested in preserving the economic livelihood of American Nurses and not only don't apoligize for it but wear it as a patriotic badge of honor.
  11. Not threats just accepting the American Way as their way for the privilege of being allowed to immigrate here. It is no ones right to immigrate here. The problem today is many immigrants are arrogant and don't see that they are coming into someones home.
  12. We as Americans will do just fine. We are are greatest national resource.

  15. We need a powerful National labor Union of RN/LPN's and then we will as a politically powerful group determine the policy's of healthcare through one national voice.
  16. Yes it probably would to those were discussing but too bad it is on everyones mind and it needs to come out of the shadows.
  17. My father is for Eastern Europe and my Mother from Western Europe. The widely accepted standard back then was assimilate into America. They did that. Never attempted to force us to learn their languages but did force themselves to learn English..
  18. My father is for Eastern Europe and my Mother from Western Europe. The rule back then was assimilate into America. They did that. Never attempted to force us to learn their languages but did force themselves to learn English..
  19. I have been told by some foreign guest workers that in their country nurses are to be respected and that they believe that they are on a pedestal. My position is that we are public servants with a license granted by the state government in which the people we serve elected. Many nurses from other backgrounds don't understand or comprehend the servant status we hold for the priviledge of a license.
  20. I don't have to defend myself. Besides you opinion will soon be in the minority once nurses are better educated on this.. This will be my last reply. Only interested in nurses that will listen.
  21. My spouse is a foreign born individual and obtained her nursing education in the USA. This is about companies like Kindred importing cheap labor and these individuals have little rights and work in situations that an American would not accept unless the Employer improved conditions, ie, staff, etc. Thanks for your posting. You Boston people are better educated...
  22. Kindred is one of the biggest offenders.
  23. They are HB-1 Visa holders, Guest workers with no legal right to stay here and with a contract from their Employer. They have no legal right to stay here permanently and is based on their contract, ie a defacto indentured servant.
