  1. Well somewhere near Macon GA, although when driving through ATL my wife all of a sudden wanted to get her masters at a school up there? But family lives in Macon so I would assume there. I know theres CGTC for one- But I don't know what courses they could provide or if the GI bill would cover it.
  2. i will look into that- thank you :) i want to go to itt or a tech college so it might be better if we do it down there (in ga).
  3. True- but a mortgage on a house by a lake is around 800 in GA where as rent in an infested apartment anywhere here is 1200+ I think the odds will layout.
  4. yes- we do plan on moving to ga but wanted her to get 2 or 3 years of nursing under her belt and so i can finish school and she can build a resume. things there financially will be alot better but we're just making sure we can take care of what we need to hear before we move out there. hope i'm making sense. thanks again for all of your input! means alot to me.
  5. Thank you SO very much for your guidance- I appreaciate every word that was said. I take it you've seen this before/ done this before?
  6. YES! Thats the situation we're in now and I'm just trying to get a grasp of the situation we'll be headed in so we won't be side swiped TOO hard later on. You've all already answered my question with a couple of posts so thanks again for all your knowledge and help. If you have any tips or think we should look at it a certain way please feel free to post- I'm more than happy looking at different perspectives.
  7. Thank you very much! I'm very blessed to have served our country.
  8. We already have plans to move to GA- but seeing as how I need the school and I COULD (Still deciding) start while im in the military and she could get a few years under her belt before we moved we might need a little more time here in CA. Again sorry if I came out the wrong way- I was just on THIS forums to find a little more about her pay, nothing more.
  9. Ah don't worry about being blunt- I can take it:D. I'm the type of person who would would like to be prepared for anything so I always look at things from a perspective that would allow leeway. I in NO MEANS wanted to go to school full time while my wife works full time supporting the family- that would be down right degrading. I was just more focused on what she would be able to handle as far as her salary. Please forgive me if I gave the wrong impressions. My school would be for around 3 years but I'd be working either part/full time depending on the job. As far as staying in the military- my father was in the military and him being gone for most all my life left me tarnished. I'd want to be hear to be a great father and dad to my little girls, ESPECIALLY now a days. Thank you so much for your guidance and tough love;)
  10. Alright thank you all! She's on right now reading through the thread. She knows most of the links that were posted- but she'll look them over later on. Thanks for all your knowledge, she's got to continue studying and I've got to go to bed to wake up at 5am. I'll make sure she logs on and looks into this more. Again all thank you very much and God Bless:yeah:. You all were VERY informative.
  11. Thanks for your reply and we are on the South side of the state so we're ok for right now. Thank you so much for your concern.
  12. Thank you all very much for your replies. I'm use to being on a car forum and they're so much more "violent" w/ their words and replies. lol I'm not use to all the info I asked for straight out instead of having to beat around the bush for a page or 3.
  13. She has an account (After I forced her too:banghead:) but she doesn't use at all. Ok so we've looked through salary.com~ and its pretty much confirming what he friends have told her. Around 57k. But that BEFORE taxes. After that its just 1600.00 biweekly. So thats AROUND what I make...:angryfire. So how often do raises come up?
  14. Shes doesn't really know- everyone says "50+K a year". I make around 30-40K take home. I'd just like her to be able to support the family w/o trouble.
  15. Thank you very much. LoL wifey isn't here because shes busy studying her "concept map" for her patient? And shes not too into forums:zzzzz.
