Ok I have to ask...but let me first start by saying I understand why we have to learn them!!! This may get a wide range of responses so I had to make that clear. I do plan on taking the step up to RN. I have learned the care plans and feel pretty comfortable writing them. A few of my instructors both young and old say care plans will eventually go to the way side. So I wonder if we will really use them in the future. It does seem useless considering that some of the care plans I have read in my clinical sites have been dated for years and still no complete accomplishment of anything listed on them. I am a 33m and starting school in September. My wife is being very supportive but I must admit I am very nervous. I lost my job about 2 months ago. I worked as a nursing assistant when I was younger and have always wanted to continue my education in nursing. I have a very brilliant 10 yr old daughter that thinks it's wonderful her dad is going back to school. I just worry going to school full time and making the ends meet until I finish. Anyone have any suggestions??? I would greatly appreciate the advice.

Hurray I passed my test!!!!! The science section is very general. I didn't score as well as I would have liked to on that portion of the test. But considering I have been out of school for 16 years, I didn't do horrible. The study guide was great for every part of the test.

I am going to take the test on Friday. I am not as nervous as I was. Thanks to all who replied!

I am currently studying for the TEAS. I am a 33m and feel way overwhelmed. Some of the things I see in the study guide are things I haven't touched since high school. I have the study guide and have been on http://www.testprepreview.com. Any suggestions from anyone in the same situation??? And am I in a panic for nothing???
