Can I HHA give suppositories?
I recently got hired as a private duty HHA and I was told I will be having to do suppositories every other day for a quad's bowel movement. Am I allowed to do this? I am in the state of Florida if that helps. I have no problems doing it all but just wanted to check if its in my job description. Thanks, I cant find any information on it anywhere. I look in my book and it said nurses do that but the book is outdated a few years back so it might have changed.

getting a job as a cna...
I think you should do it and dont mind your boyfriend. If it takes you longer to find a job, well at least you went through the class and now can fill applications everywhere to you find one. Good luck!

Where do (did) you like working the most as a CNA?
I want to know where you love working the most as a CNA? Is assisted living easier than LTC? I am not quite sure yet where I want to work. I would love to know what you perfer and why?

Anyone here challenging the CNA state exam
Last year, I wanted to get it done but I had things come up. So getting my certification was put aside. Now I want to study myself with the video lessons here and a few books I just pick up. My goal is to get my license by Sept this year when my daughter turns 1 and my son is kindergarten. I went to school when I graduated at high school for CNA but soon after I decided that I didnt want to do that at the moment. I have knowlodge of what to do mostly so this shouldn't be so hard since I was pretty much A student and took lots of notes (which I still have, I have to say). So anyone here thinking of challenging the test and want to join me to discuss things together! :)

Applying for CNA license, HELP!!!
^Thanks for your help. In Florida, you are allowed to challenge and dont really have to take any course. So thats why I was asking.

Applying for CNA license, HELP!!!
I graduated from a nursing assistant course in 2002 so I have to study and practice some skills before taking the test. I have been studying for a week now the book that I had and I think I got it all now to the clinical skills. How was the best way you did you studied your skills? Now I have a question, do I challenge it in the application or do I put I have done a course in nursing assistant. Online in the Florida website that cutoff date is 2006. I dont understand the website either that much when they say maybe its my poor english understanding at times since english is my second language but what does it mean. From my interpretation, I think it means if I want to test in a site that I cant fill this out. Then what is this application for? https://securereg3.prometric.com/cnaform/FLCNA.asp

CNA certification question
Hi, I'm new to this board. I took a Nursing Assistant course over 6 yrs ago and how have decided to apply for my license. I am currently studying & practicing to take my CNA exams in a month or so from now. Now my question is: Can I work while my certificate is being mailed to me if I pass both sections or do I have to wait for the certificate to come in the mail? I live in Florida, if thats helps. I have no idea where to find this answer. Thank you!
