  1. Glad I could help. LSN is a buisness first then a school. That's just my opinion. Good Luck.
  2. They said it was my GPA from 18yrs prior. They said I could take the SAT or ACT and start all over again. I was just not ready to do that at the time. I had already given them money to take the tests and application fee. They led me on for awhile. I learned not to put all my eggs in one basket. Hope this helps you.
  3. I am a grad of Applied Tech at South County. Yes it is very fast paced at first. Just hang in there and set up a study schedule. It will really help. I also thought I would go right in to Lutheran RN program but was denied due to past college grades years before. They did not care that I had taken all the classes over and gotten A's in them. I also took the tests which you pay $30.00 for and got perfect scores. Do some research on Lutheran before you comit to them. I am going through STLCC. Good Luck with Applied Tech. Things get a little easier when clinical's start.
  4. I am an LPN and wish I would have just gotten my RN instead of going the LPN route. I work in long term care and really enjoy it. If you have the chance to get your RN-- do it. Good Luck.

Hey I make roughly 20.00 per hour. I feel this is a good wage for a new LPN just out of school. I know people from my school who only make 14.00 to 16.00 per hour.

I went to an LPN program for 1 year. I was hoping to go to bridge program this year but have decided to wait and take Chemistry in the winter then apply for the Community College program. I work in long term care and the pay is good. If I had it to do over I would have stayed with the RN route. Good Luck!!!
  8. You also might want to try Kirkwood, Glendale, Webster Groves, and Crestwood. All these communities have good schools. You might have an eaiser time finding a house to rent that allows dog's vs a TH. Good luck with your search. Cosmo
  9. Listener, Thank You. Your words of encouragement are great. I plan on registering next week. I will do as you said and hope I can get a class with Bryan Landis. I will get my book ASAP. I will also try and get a sylibus. Thanks again. Cosmo:paw:
  10. Thanks for your response. I try what you said about Chem. I may have to take it this fall for a grade but if I don't I will do what you said. As for St. Charles CC, I live way to far to be able to go there. I live in south city. Thanks Again, Cosmo 24.
  11. Hello, This is my first post. I need to take Chemistry. It is the only class I need to get into the LPN Bridge program at STLCC. I have applied to Lutheran but was denied because of a poor transcript from when I was 18. I have since retaken all those classes and made A's and B's, have completed LPN with A's and B's. I can not seem to get through Chem. I have tried twice. My question- is there any way to get into a RN program without Chem? I am going to try it again this fall any help on how to get through would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Cosmo
