  8. Hey every one...have some good news to share...took NCLEX on January 15th at 8am...got my unofficial result on Sunday...I pass! I am actually an RN and it is such an exhilarating feelings.
  9. Nothing beats a trial but a failure...a few years ago when I started nursing school I failed the first semester and was kicked out of the program. I was so devastated...I brushed off myself and enrolled in an LPN accelerated program for 10 intensive months...have no regrets. I gave myself 3 years, and then I enrolled in an LPN-RN bridge program-18 months. I graduated from nursing school November 17th and I am now studying for the NCLEX exam. Don't give up on your dreams because you fail, try again. There are many schools in New Jersey...start looking around, if your classes are not more than 5 years they are transferable. If this is any consolation to you...I live in New York and attended nursing school in New Jersey.
  10. Congratulations on passing the NCLEX...I also would like a copy of your notes...my email is: [email protected], thanking you in advance.

  13. Pharmacology
  14. Way to go Stephanie, Congratulation! I am still waiting, background check is not yet completed, call Albany today and was told that they are short staff and that they have a lot of application to process.
  15. Stephanie, I am also using exam cram, did you find it to be helpful? bet you can't wait to start working. I don't like the cd that comes with the book, the book itself is very helpful, wish I had it while I was in school.
  16. Stephanie, how did you find the nclex exam, any familiar questions on the exam, what study material should we your fellow graduates concentrate on, cant wait to hear about your result, btw how many questions did you do.
  17. You will be doing three (3) classes, A&P, fundamentals of nursing-2 sections, taught by two different teachers, test scores are average. Fundamentals of nursing ends in November and A & P ends in December. Don't want to scare you, people start dropping out of the program after fundamentals final, and about one third don't make it after A&P. My advice to you, study, study, study and study some more, read all assignment, every week there is a test, keep abreast with your reading and you will do just fine, all the best and keep me posted.
  18. Why do you need to take the prep class if you are accepted?...financial aide does not cover your down payment or your book money, you can't buy your book elsewhere, you can only buy from the school, btw you are going to need a suitcase for your books...lol.
  19. Don't wait for the mail, call now, just this morning I called for a friend of mine who didn't received anything and luckily she was accepted...you need to know.
  20. Last year I got my acceptance letter first, then after I paid the first payment, I got the homework assignment. Call the school for clarification, seems to me that you are in, study those words and try to get a high score. Find out from the school when your first payment is due, you don't want to blow this one. God bless and all the best, keep me inform.
  21. How did the interview went, did it sound promising? be optimistic, everything will work out just fine, can't wait to hear from you.
  22. First impression counts, if you are wearing a slack, make sure you wear a jacket..., if not invest in a suit, it doesn't hurt. In regards to the questions...you will be asked: 1. Why do you want to be a LPN. 2. What are the duties of a LPN 3. What are the challenges you think you will have 4. What is/was the hardest decision you had to make in your life 5. How do you plan to study 6. How do you plan to pay for school Make sure you take your job id and another form of identification, I am praying for you and hope all goes well. Please keep me inform.
  23. Mr Pink...I was wondering what happened to you, I am so glad that you've got that phone call, be optimistic, go to that interview, dress appropriately and be confident, everything will work out just fine, do let us know the date of your interview and I will tell you what the questions are.
  24. call the school and they will provide you with the code, once you are accepted in the program they will let you know how much money is required. I just graduated from the program on 06/21/2011, its a good program, you will learn a lot. In regards to your question about financial aid...yes, the school offers it.
