  1. Planning to take the Holistic Certification Exam basic level next month. Anyone may know a website to practice test questions on Holistic Nursing. I am aware of purchasing the practice test from the Holistic Nursing Website. Thanks
  2. Good morning, I ended going through a community college to finish the program. And yes IL does not accept the course.
  3. Well I would think Mental Health Nursing would be a great experience to get into. I am just a brand new Grad nurse looking for work. I have been an LPN for the past 8 years and working on an Acute Rehab floor for a local Hospital. Based upon speaking with other Nurses, they luv Mental Health Nursing. I do have an interview in the afternoon as a Mental Health Nurse. Hoping I can get onto that unit and start specializing in this field. Lots of avenues to look into Nursing. Take all advantages you can to find your niche.
  4. I checked with the website of the Iowa Boards of Nursing. There seems to be no restrictions as when you graduated and how many times you can retake the boards for your RN. I am also in IL. Taking Boards next week and for the Iowa Licensure for my RN. Get your RN in Iowa and then apply for Illinois.
  5. Congrats about many SATA did you have you think?
  6. I am taking my boards in another week. I would be interested in a study partner.. I too have all the books, but need to motivation to get passed this test. This would be my third time.
  7. I will be taking my boards in a few weeks. Any personal suggestion on how to do these SATA or place in order questions. I have been practicing a few, but still having a hard time with getting them right.
  8. End of the month for me, anyone who is interested in online skype, we can review there if you like. Let me know
  9. I would study for the test on skype, When is your test date, I would like to take my this month.
  10. What is the Kaplan review like compared to those like Hurst and other review companies?
  11. Yes Hurst review makes it easier to study from for boards. Very important to study practice questions.
  12. I have the Saunders Version 4 book and know there is a version 5 out there now. Is there any differences with the material in the newer version. I was thinking of going out there and purchase it since the Nclex exam has changed. Any thoughts from anyone out there?
  13. I hope all goes well for you. I am also in your shoes with another shot. I need to take another shot of this again.
  14. It is a very good source to review from if you have troubles with reading things out. Follow what she preaches in the lectures, but also review test questions.
  15. Sounds good, what are the David CDs?
  16. I attempted the boards several times and have also failed on each try. So your not alone in this. I would not mind finding another person who go over things also. I would also look at the questions the Board of Nursing has to offer, this is the 2011 NCSBN website for studying. They have questions much like the Nclex. I also know the Saunders has flashcards. You can take those around with you at all times. I was also getting over 200 questions and each time not pass. We can not give up on this. So again your not alone in this situation.
  17. I am in your shoes also and want to let you know your not alone. I have attempted several time myself and still not pass. I have used the Hurst Review and other sources. My next plan of action is to hit sample questions that are the same as the Nclex questions. If you have been to the National Board of Nursing website, they offer a online review, but I would think looking at their questions would help. My last exam, I was seeing so many questions that look the same. I found the actual Nclex questions not as long as compared to other Nclex Practice CD's. I know it is so frustrating that we can no pass this test since we invested so much money in this review. Be proud that you have succeeded in nursing school and you have to sit for just one more test before you can work as an Nurse.
  18. I was happy with the hurst review when I got it . I did find the material helpful but I did not pass the test. If a person can not study alone and need to hear the material. The hurst review is a great source to study from. I have problems with taking tests so I need to figure out what I am lacking with these questions. I can verbally respond to a person with the right idea when they ask me a questions, but I am lost when it comes to reading the questions and what I am looking for to answer the questions. I may invest in the National Board of Nursing review program in order to see the questions.
  19. I starting my RN program at the age of 43, but will not get done when I just turned 45. I did have another male student in the class who is in his 50 also and has completed the program this december. I am going part time and will be done in Dec of 2010 if everything goes well.
  20. I want to fine a good online Micro class with a lab. I am in a student in a local community college in Iowa. With very limited Micro classes around, I would like to find an online one. Can anyone suggest some to me please?
  21. That is right, 80% is considerred not passing.
  22. Thanks for the suggestions. I am an LPN working towards my RN
  23. Where do I register for micro with ccconline?
  24. Where do I sign up for Micro through the CCConline? That is a class I need still and also enrolled in a traditional nursing program.
  25. where do I find information about this ccconline courses? What college sponsers this? I also have to do micro?
