Hello, I hope that I am not out of bounds by being here, I am not a nurse. I have a C-7 vertebra injury and use a supra pubic catheter. Very recently the balloon on my catheter deflated and the cath came out. The only thing I could think of doing was to insert an intermitent cath to keep the stoma from closing. My urologist's office is an hours drive away. They really don't like the idea of me replacing an SP cath myself but I don't really like the idea of going through another surgery if this was to happen again. My question is about the 3 1/2 inch insertion. Is this standard for small frame people? I don't really have much of a gut. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. David
